Maybe we can chuck in velikonja and cornelius

how good Cornelius actually is ,isnt the point regarding him being a make weight in any transfer, its his reputed wages are way to high for your average Dutch club

How many minutes has Cornelius played for us? How people can judge a player based on sod all game time is ridiculous really.

HE WOULD BE PLAYING REGULAR IF HE WAS GOOD..AND IF HE DID NOT COST 8 MILL, HE WOULD NOT PLAY AT ALL..THEY ARE PREYING HE CAN DO SOMETHING, BUT I THINK HE IS THE BAKER AND THE FOOTBALLER BROTHER IS STILL IN COPENHAGEN

Yeah I remember malky and solskjaer saying he was shit in a training session on bluebirds players actually....
All players should hit the ground running and be instantly fantastic.

Haha. You're a classact fair play. AC Milan were sniffing round him at one point so he must have a bit of talent wouldn't you say? He perhaps isn't ready for first team football and perhaps needs time to settle and grow as a player, he's still young and developing.

No he's not. He was once tipped as one of the best Norwegian talents but his light has faded and looks like he's never going to reach the EPL/ Serie A / Bundesliga / La Liga level.

Håvard Nielsen and Mats Møller Dæhli are both already much better than him, younger and similar types.

Valon Berisha would at best fit in the Dutch or Turkish league.

Now that is what i call bullsh*t.

Valon Berisha and Håvard Nielsen are born the same year - AND, Valon is the only regular on Red Bull Salzburg of those two. Anyway, Nielsen will be playing for Bundesliga-side Braunschweig this year.

If you knew the squad at RBS like I do, you'd know Valon is in a position of less competition for his place, and Håvard Nielsen still only has 5 matches less from the starting 11.

Sounds like OGS will have to buy a strong defensive midfielder to sit behind them in a 4-1-3-2 formation to even make that work, as those three lack a lot of physique. I would much sooner believe that he intends to make Dæhli a sort of Eikrem's understudy for the same role, rarely playing together.

Still, they have the ability to play with such a tempo that physique hardly becomes an issue, in which case Medel is the one who's going to have to keep up.

We have one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League in Gary Medel. I think he'll do fine... ;) :ayatollah:

Sorry, didn't mean to imply Medel lacks physique, I was saying their average isn't completely up to snuff. In fact, if playing both Eikrem and Dæhli together, I would be using a ball winning flat midfielder PLUS a defensive midfielder behind them.

To be honest mate, Jordan Mutch is a big lad and capable of putting himself about. He's got a bit of quality as well.

Is Finnbogason possible?

With Eikrem playing with him at Heerenveen and Gunnarson playing with him for Iceland, his phone should be red hot at the moment if OGS is after him.

Just think other clubs may come in if they get wind that Heerenveen are listening to offers.

Heerenveen coach Marco van Basten has confirmed that Magnus Eikrem is set to leave the club amid rumours the midfielder will join Cardiff City.

Eikrem was in the stands at St James' Park on Saturday as Cardiff came from behind to beat Newcastle United 2-1 in the FA Cup third round in their first game under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The versatile 23-year-old worked with Solskjaer during his spell at Molde and was also coached by his Norwegian compatriot when the Cardiff boss was in charge of Manchester United's reserve side.

"It's a shame he's [Eikrem] leaving because in the final period of the first half of the season he has been important for us," Van Basten told Leeuwarden Courant.

Eikrem has scored two goals in 13 appearances since joining from Molde in June.

They ALL have the same agent, by the name of Jim Solbakken, who was also Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's agent when he was a player.

I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket here but I wouldn't be surprised if at least two of these turned up in the next 18 months!

Diouf and Eikrem

This Eikrem guy seems all but done, meanwhile I don't really see much in Diouf tbh, he's played enough games this season to bag 10 or more goals and he's only managed 5... do we really need another one of those?

Actually, correcting myself - he scored 17 in 37 games last season, not too bad, but he has only scored 5 in 14 this time around, so I'm not too sure of his reliability. A lot of money too, nearly 10 million euros...

It seems to me you think 5 in 14 is a goal drought or something... A goal per every 187 minutes in the Bundesliga is fine. 17 in 37 is very impressive, plus he has 10 assists in those two seasons you mentioned, which is amazing for a striker. He can both score and set up plays, perfect for a 4-4-2 formation.

Quite a coincidence I bought him for Cardiff on Championship Manager 2010.

In his description it said he had the 'touch of an angel'. Absolute beast!.

I had a look last night on Football Manager 14 and both him and the other Norwegian kid look great. FM rarely get it wrong.
