Think you may have to be careful or the only team in the area that will be left to support will be Grange Albion. Doubt if there's many people out there willing to pump money into this club. Blue would be my preference, but at least Tan getting involved means I still have a club to support.

I remember the shite old days, playing in front sparze crowds, watching drivel.
Sometimes sucess comes with attachments. I bet u celebrated when we won promotion, beating Man City @ the jacks.
So enjoy the good times in green pink olive. Red isnt so bad. Sucessful capital City of Wales, Cardiff City...
Like I say id love to see Tan go back to Blue, but Red it is for now. And id settle for a Red Sucessful team. Every time

Red or dead has proved to be a lie.

how is it a lie ?????? without tans money we would of gone into administration with no owner ready to step in we would have gone bust :(

Lets all face facts, and a little bit of reality: Vincent Tan was courted,,,invited to invest in Cardiff City FC around end of the 09/11season.

Vincent Tan, Business man,,who was offered a valid business opportunity,,to buy a Professional UK football club at a discount price, turn it around, & make a profit.

Didn't Mohamed Al-Fayed do the exact same at Fulham FC?

People confuse the red and dead with the fact he saved us.

If he hadnt stepped in HMRC wanted to liquidate us and in the last minute he saved us.

Tan never said if we didnt accept red he would fold the club so in that respect it was never red or dead.

Like i said, :o VT is a business man, with an invited business opportunity.

He will make money, one way or another. AL-Fay ed did the same at Fulham FC, recently.

Agreed, he may no know football but he sure to hell knows business and he has done what many football'ing people have failed to do at our club and thats to get us promoted.

People may say its easy to throw money at it and get promoted but many have and many have failed.

Agree. All CCFC is/was,,is a business opportunity to VT. Nothing more, nothing less. Just like Heath or Thatcher to the working class at that time,,,, its simply "business,,,not personnel"!!!

You know full well that Tan is 'flirting' with the idea of a name change. If that happens, it may well be down to the supporters like yourself who are afraid to stand up for the clubs identity.

The only thing on this earth i am afraid of is something bad happening to my nearest and dearest.
I have said for as long as we are Cardiff City I will support them.

Should that change, then the club formerly known as Cardiff City will not have my support.

Fair enough.

But that just goes to show that there is a turning point for everyone - even you. It is just that other people (including myself) have broken before you because of different reasons. :malky:

If Tan did change the name of our club - you will stop supporting Cardiff..
If someone else took over and changed our name back to Cardiff City, you would be back supporting the club and respect that owner, wouldn't you?

For fans like me though, we would be willing to respect and forget what Tan has done - IF he turns Cardiff back to blue.

They have alienated so many fans i doubt they will ever be a serious threat to tan, just a minority protest group who continually shoot themselves in the foot.

And the biggest irony is that most of them have just appeared out of the blue, the very people that are criticising new fans.

I believe quite a few are 'new' fans themselves. It's not unnatural that the younger generation will be more easily led and idealistic. As far as CCFC is concerned those who have only been supporting/watching over the last 5-10 years or even less will have a different expectation of what the club should be doing. And of course, there's football manager etc
There is also the 'against modern football' element which tbh most of us probably sympathise with.Add to that the message board jacks and shit stirrers and you have a bit of a 'campaign'.Oh yes, also those who make some money selling mugs and t shirts.
I do not deny there are also a number of principled long term fans who actively object.
