Running to the mods when someone swears at you.. Bet you were a telltale in school to you sap

The irony of this is, you posted a topic the other day calling for a user to be banned... Isn't that running to the mods too and being a "cry baby" as you don't like someone's posts?!

 hypocrite.

Roathy, this is not a dig at you, but I noticed the woolworth leaflets were from Taronga branch, dont know exactly where you live
but is not Taronga over 100 miles from you seems a long way to go shopping.

I have based the distance on you stating you visit Noora quite often, not where you actually live.

Can you clear this for me.

Im a property developer, i have houses dotted everywhere on the east coast and we are rarely in the same place for a prolonged period of time. 3 months of the year we get to chill and do nothing and this will be at our home in the glasshouse mountains. Its about an hour and a bit from Noosa.

I dont think ive ever been to Taronga, it was a promotion to do with some animal toys they were selling in association with Taronga zoo I believe, it was just in my pocket at the time.

An Internet troll, or simply troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

You fit all the above characteristics.... Hope that sheds some light on your questions.

An internet troll is someone who posts in an articulate fashion beyond the intellectual capacity of most others online. These articulate and intelligent posts often confuse the majority to a level whereby they call troll rather than debate in a mature fashion. It makes them feel like they have won and are now worth something to the e-community around them.

Spot on young James.

People label someone a troll if they lose a debate, the way it works. Those same people usually are the ones insulting, swearing and generally being aggressive which is irony personified

Yes Im out often. Not today though as I have been nursing a hangover from going out last night. Any more questions as part of your interrogation or are we done here? People call others troll when they simply cant comprehend the point being made. They get confused and they don't like it so in response they lash out.

Online there is only one way to do that and thats by calling people troll. These are the same types of people who get ruined frequently in debates in pubs and so on and then decide to lash out and want to fight people because thats the only way they know how to save face and reinstate some bravado and pride after being embarrassed. They don't look clever, they just look like tools.

Don't worry. I know the score as I have had it with a business graduate in a pub. He tried being clever, thought he could gain an upper hand by saying he could program in visual basic (yes I am laughing my arse off :laughing6: ) and I then, after quickly realising he was trying to be clever started talking about PHP and so on.

He went along with it and it was all a charade on my end. I do program and I know quite a lot of PHP but for the purpose of this knowing he was trying to be a smart arse I just kept going along with it. Got to a business level as I purposely took the conversation in that direction to see if he'd bite and he did hook, line and sinker and he thought because of his degree he knew the industry inside out thinking all industries are exactly the same which is not the case at all as different industries have entirely different environments.

He then proceeded to tell me that I would be competing with young highly skilled PHP developers and young child proteges who knew PHP of course which is entirely false given I want to be a UI/UX designer and not a PHP framework developer. Even if I was a PHP framework developer I would not be competing against these child proteges as they quickly get taken through schemes and drafted into the top end companies like Google and so on so his argument was just laughable but because he had a 'business' degree he thought he knew everything about the industry I myself am educated in.

When trying to explain this to the person in question it confused him and he got wound up and then I decided I'd had enough of his crap so then proceeded to retaliate in the same idiotic manner as said person. Couldn't help but laugh at this all deriving from someone who had only dabbled in VB.

 yeah a real problem, where to put all the money.

I am a property developer. The majority of the time I am researching new property, tracking the market and keeping in contact with contractors.

My works van is for when I do the cosmetic renovation

Hmmmmm

I rarely do it consistantly, usually when the tennis season is on and in full swing. Maybe 6 months of the year and more for leisure money these days.

However, Not only did it earn me enough to buy my first house which i then turned into a business it has continued to earn me vast profits year on year. As the betting forum will show you, my stints dont last long after a $17,000 profit over 7 weeks, Palmerbet today banned me. I had to open an account with such a small company as im restricted to bet or banned with most of the reputable ones. Im running thin on the ground, im currently on BETEZY now which looks even worse than the last one.

Common practice unfortunately. Oddly the smaller the company the higher the threshold it seems. I was banned from bet365 years ago, well not banned - but my max bet I could place was like £5.22 or something stupid, for being about £5000 in profit. The best ones were Paddy Power from memory, it took a long time and alot of money to get restricted from there. At one stage I had to use actual bookmakers and even they put restrictions on me where any bet over £100 had to be varified by the manager and then he would give me the odds i want for half the money and less odds for the other half.

Betting is basically maths. You need a great knowledge of a certain sport to the point where you can price it up more accurately than the bookie. Thennyou gontheough the list of matches and anything you have at lowernodds than the bookie is offering then bet on it, the more value you take the more you will win.

Its like a coin flip (although not a perfect example as we are relating them to humans) but if a bookmaker was offering you odds of 11/10 on heads and 9/10 on tails then you choose heads every time even if you think it will land on tails as you know it should be evens for both hence taking the value.

If you stick £10 on every time... You will lose 100 times and win 100 times (as we know its a 50:50 shot) yet because you took the value you would be up £100. Because you lose £10 for being incorrect and get £11 for being correct.

And thats basically what I do.

I fancy a flutter tonight Roathie son, blew £220 last night on booze and lord knows what else.

Use your infinite wisdom and pick out a tidy bet for me to recoup some of that money. If it comes in I will be very grateful.

Wouldnt tip what I wouldnt do myself.

Del potro to beat federer was the one I gave today on the betting forum, he just won. Other than that there isnt a lot on, especially a Sunday as its traditionally a final day and most of them are finished.

I tipped Moore to win the golf at 3-1 but a rain delay has taken that into tomorrow, hes in a play-off so now at evens so you have probably missed the boat, not much value there.

Bad time of year to bet really. ATP finals coming up so ill probably do that and then stop until Jan so keep an eye on the forum
