Literally baffles me how Jon can go on about people "only wanting success", as if he's been there and knows what the tough times were like. Cracks me up that boy.

Don't be such an ignorant prick.

Obviously I want us to win every game. I'm just saying that success isn't a reason as to why I support the club.

The only ignorant prick here is you Jon.

If you think that what I've said is wrong then you are deluded.

If you think it would be better in the dungeon in front of 3000 fans with a shit atmosphere and shit football
just because we had blue shirts then you are the deluded one.

I'm not saying it would better. I'm just saying that I would rather have pride and identity in League Two than have neither in the Premier League. Like I said, success isn't a reason as to why I support the club.

I feel exactly the same Jon. Before the rebrand, I would have been moaning about us playing rubbish and losing, but like yourself, I would take getting our pride and identity back in League Two over what we have now anytime.

Exactly. Polo and the rest just don't give a shit and only care about success now.

Another thing, there were 17k in ninain park when we beat Shrewsbury on the last home game when we got promoted under Eddie May and there were 4/5k up in Scunthorpe when we won the championship, yet it wasn't long before we were back down to 3k. We had no rebrand to take our souls away yet people stopped going.

Whereas you have only ever known success.
Maybe if you were older and had a family you'd think twice about spending your last bit of spare cash to travel to Scarborough! Maybe you wouldn't, I hope for your sake you never have to find out.

It's not my fault I'm young. And the only real success I've seen is winning the league last season.

I'm not disputing there were some shit days. The Clemo, Kumar, Osman etc periods were woeful but the worst for me was Kenny Hibbett! Remember him blaming his lack of signings on the fact that geographically, we were in a poor location so nobody wanted to sign for us? Then we had him narrowing the pitch to stop the opposition hitting us on the break, so you know what happened on the narrow pitch? They just hit us on the break through the middle instead!
But honestly, I did enjoy those days just as much as what we have now. You might think I'm strange and bonkers, but I have always preferred playing the lesser teams in lesser stadiums, simply because I got to interact with proper, decent football fans and visit different grounds with character. Those at Accrington this season will tell you about being able to watch a parks game going on behind us and the banter when there was a penalty in this parks game. I tend to find with the smaller grounds, there are little things that you remember and look back on with the smile more, but maybe that's just me!

Football has changed so much since we were last there it just wouldnt be the same.
I am a football romantic and love the nostalgia but would rather keep the memories as I think the reality would be one huge dissapointment.

Of course little memories like that will stand out. It's like when people say school was the best days of their life. They remember the fun things but dont remember double history being like 2 life sentences!

Do I worry what Tan is going to do next? Of course I do, but it's not gonna stop me enjoying beating Man City and it's not gonna stop me appreciating players like Caulker and Medel.

I respect your opinion. My one regret was not going to Chasetown as it was on a Saturday and I was playing Welsh League football back then, so I couldn't go. So I guess I had a good 6-7 seasons not attending games regularly myself, although I still always went to every game that wasn't on a Saturday.

But I think I will always love visiting the smaller grounds, I had to do Accrington and I had to do Macclesfield last season as I had never done them before. Some fans must think I'm bonkers driving to Accrington and back with work at 8am the following day, but then not bothering with West Ham away in the following round!

But that's just me, it's not about success or watching top quality football for me. I chose to watch the Development squad at Hereford instead of seeing City's firsts at home to Chievo. I hope we have an away draw to some lower league minnows in the FA Cup this season to give me another new ground to visit. I was too young to go to many away games when we were dire so I didn't regularly do away games until we got to the Championship really, so I guess there's still quite a few lower league grounds I would like to visit just to see what they're like.

Don't get me wrong, when the cup draws come around I'm not hoping to draw man utd out of the bag, my dream is to go back to Torquay! It was my first away trip and always one of my favourites. However when we were playing Torquay etc year in year out it was my dream to draw man utd or liverpool etc.

You obviously never saw those players play, you're maybe too young or have jumped on the bandwagon in recent years, you're clearly clueless as to what it was like in those days. We would all like a return to blue, but we currently play in red, so fecking deal with it! If you support a club surely you like football. Half the people on here see it as a crime that fans want to see rooney, Suarez, ozil etc at the Ccs. I love th thought of us competing against th top clubs and players each week and knowing you can tell your kids you remember United at the Ccs. I want to see us with quality players in our team, after watching Andy Jordan, nogan, Danny hill etc and thinking this the best our club has to offer our fans. Watching Leyton orient at Np on a tues night leo fortune west up front. Now we have caulker, bellers and Marshall and we get to watch 2 teams playing quality football in the best league in the world. Why th he'll would I want wish it away for a skint club, crap players and no fans.

Enjoy it whilst we have top football clubs here and we are actually competing each game with them. It's what we all wanted those years ago! I have no envy of pompy or watching players who are a no Better than a lot of non league players at about 20 quid a league 2 ticket price
