why do you shop at supermarkets ?

I work in a shop and what the OP said is utter bollocks.

That will be all.

Because Local Authorities charge sky high fees for parking on high streets so smaller shops lose customers with the over zealous parking gestapo.

These Councils have no business acumen if you provide free parking you get more of the public shopping in smaller shops on the high street hence there revenue income increases through rates.

I shop at supermarkets because there is no Butchers or Greengrocers in this area.
