Plus, how are BU "killing" CCFC?
Its not Barry. You and I know that and so do the Tan apologists.
BU killing CCFC, stupid statement from someone losing the argument. Lets turn this around. Thanks to BU we still have the Bluebird in blue.
Ian I believe the reaction of fans last season shortly after the re-brand was confirmed by VT together with the representation of the small group of fans called to meetings with the club ensured the "Bluebird" remained on the club crest. That happened long before BU was ever thought of so, in my opinion, it cannot be claimed that thier existance has had anything to do with that.
I agree however that nothing BU are doing is likely to kill our club, absolute nonsense, but in a way the announcement this morning by the owners of Hull City does raise questions, again, regarding the "Official" statement on thier Facebook page. The statement says "We want to see Cardiff City (Bluebirds) in the Premiership and NOT the Premiership in Cardiff City".
What has happened with Hull City this morning is, in my opinion, the very worst example of how sport is being marketed nowadays. Rugby League, County Cricket and Welsh regional rugby clubs have ALL adopted this concept of rebranding by adding what I think are silly additions to thier names.
BU need to drop this Cardiff City Bluebirds nonsense because that in itself is a re-brand and concentrate on developing means of getting the maximum number of our fans on board with showinf respect to our traditional colours. Wearing blue to home games is the best and encouraging fans to sing "We're Cardiff City We'll Always Be Blue" during our matches. Make no mistake VT, like everyone else at the Charlton game, heard it load and clear.
I'm no VT apologist and I never accepted his freebie red scarf and for me the tpping pointwill always be changing the name of our club. I support Cardiff City FC not Cardiff Dragons and not Cardiff City Bluebirds. In my opinion BU should stop this Cardiff City Bluebirds nonsense and concentrate on Cardiff City FC - The Bluebirds or I fear it will not be to long before we will face an announcement about Cardiff Dragons.
And as I have always said that will be the tipping point for me, Premier League or not.

Thanks but no thanks
I would fight the same fight, if we were still in blue with our crest and the name would change to "Cardiff Dragons" or something...
NAME, COLOURS, CREST and NICKNAME... these things are the identity, the heritage and the tradition of a club, and noone, no matter how much money he spends into it, has the right to change that.

Please answer me. How is a club changing a name or a colour alone "moving forward"? I've asked 3 times now.

Your name determines who you are, nothing else. Michael Jackson went from black to white and he was still called Michael Jackson.

and ur picture underlines that you are in favour of american sports, which explains why you have no bond to traditions, identity...
your sporting team is just a franchise, its logos, colours, name can be changed to suit commercial demands and of course the franchise can be moved to another town, which is ok as another franchise could be re-located to where you live. The club isnt important then, just the fact you can watch sports and of course success on the pitch...
That's the new breed...

we BOTH lost our identity, that's how I see it...
- name
- crest
- colours
- nickname
that's the identity...
