No problem, I hope it's not false information but I always see L'Equipe as a valuable source over here for major deals so I'd be extremely happy with this but we'll have to wait and see. No problem, instead of people bickering we should be happy that we're signing potentially a great player like Capoue

Hoping and praying this and the Moreno deal go through.

I've red his tweets (translated obviously) and most if not all of them are on the money. Hmmm.

It seemingly suggests that Capoue has signed for €10m, perhaps with €2m in add-ons also part of the deal?
He also suggests that Toulouse winger Franck Tabanou is to sign for Saint-Etienne. Searching it up, that info seems to be reported far and wide.
Let's hope he's right.

Signing of the transfer window if thats true. Well have a very good squad if we can bring in a defender or 2 before the season starts
Sat Jul 27, 2013 3:23 pm
Awesome signing if true but wait for the official announcement. This player is such hot property bids from higher profiles may come in yet. Arsenal and Chelsea among others have shown significant interest in him in recent times.

Good spot, just noticed he used the #transfert hashtag for the Capoue information as well as the known transfer of Tabanou.

This all sounds really positive and as an optimist I really hope it goes through, however don't like to see the club waste any money,
Any fans of French football on here actually seen him play?
Cant rely on youtube videos but even they don't show a £10m player, the general view of everyone seems to be really positive and as I have never watched any French football, I generally trust the consensus and Malky, so just wondering.

Seen some of his stats somewhere for last season and he won around 77% of aerial battles and made 86 forward passes on average every game. His passing is supposedly very good so he could be a gem.

Carl,
Do you yet know why he was involved in the game last night, when he is involved in transfer negotiations with us.?

Or
The fact he didn't start could mean they are planning without him?
They bring him on to say thank you & goodbye, he scores a goal on his final appearance and joins Cardiff City Fc?
A complete fairy tale, if only Carlsberg did football stories?
I would be ecstatic if we pull this off

"Ourselves and Toulouse have come to an agreement," Mackay confirmed.
"We've got to then have the conversation with Etienne and his advisors, they've been very professional in terms of what they're talking about as well.
"We've been in constant dialogue with them in the last week and Toulouse have been excellent to deal with.
Malky Mackay
Cardiff City manager
"It's pretty delicate at the moment. We're in discussions and negotiations but it's something that's ongoing."
Suggests that we haven't spoken to Capoue yet, but praising Toulouse for their stance on things.

Based on what we read or have heard,He met CCFC officials on Friday in a French Hotel to discuss terms. Then someone yesterday suggested that the player and his agent never attended the meeting. Then A Tweet emerges from a French Radio network suggesting That Cardiff had Signed him for £10+£2m.The Welsh Media are leading with reports that Cardiff stand on the verge of breaking their record again.
What we Do Know!!, Etienne Capoue was named on a bench for a friendly last night,The Manager played him and he scored and assisted another goal. Now why would the chairman or manager allow a player to take part in a semi competetive match when he is supposedly on the verge of a MultiMillion pound transfer away? Unless they already know the player has rejected Cardiff Advances. Then there is no immediate risk .

No, youve had a mare cos youve posted that tweet on every Capoue thread this morning when its already been posted on every thread sometime yesterday afternoon. Even ankles couldnt get away with that, although he'd probably try.
