Re: If you can't accept RED then go and support another team

There were more red fans than blue at the time. Way more. Truly shocking scenes at the Brighton game.

What will it take to make everyone happy? I mean there's no need for a protest against Blackburn. It's the last thing the team needs at this stage of the season! Support your club, not a colour! It's getting ridiculous now. And I guarantee that almost half of those fans will have season tickets for next season. Support Cardiff City FC not blue! :x

why dont you just f**k right off what a load of bollox, the more passionate fans of the club who have been their since league one will be the ones to disagree you cant just take away a clubs identity for premiership football wheres your dignity you plastic cunts

Despite our great success this season, I would quite happily go back to the dungeon days.......at least those few thousand weren't fighting with eachother.
This club is on the path to self destruction.......just for a few quid.

spot on mate plenty of plastics are happy enough to sell their souls an team away for a few seasons at the prem and big name players, look how many red shirts we were left with when we got relegated

This thread was re-activated by Murphy who has a concern about the glory hunters coming back. He has a fear that this might be an opportunity for Tan to bring back the red.

Personally I don't think this will happen but the thought is there while Tan is about.

i know lots of Cardiff fans that are not regular. who have tattos of bluebirds.wear Cardiff tops about the place .have even named children after our players and if asked will tell you they are Cardiff fans.
they dont attend regular and are more often there for bigger games...im sure its the same at other clubs.

to ring fence them as pro red glory hunters i think is awful.
glory hunters ffs...surely if your going to be a glory hunter watching Cardiff dont enter the equation.

I would not say Murphy is referring to those fans but to the ones that first started watching us when we finally got to the premier. You know the saying "here one minute, gone the next".

of course that happened..but personally i know loads and i mean loads of regulars that gave up ,just couldnt be arsed with the faction bit and toxic atmosphere about the place.
and a massive part of the problem ,especially now is that those that won { those that kicked off the most about colour } couldnt just jump up on the ropes arm in the air waving their blue shirts while Tan lay beaten nxt to the towel his mother had thrown and just move on....nope. they want a weekly re match.

Think that was the point being made though wasn't it - there's no such thing as a Glory Hunter City Fan - not enough glory for a start!

The true glory hunter being your armchair fan of Man U, Chelsea, Man City etc who despite having nothing to do with those clubs and never been near their ground in their lives lord it over us mere mortals who support our local team every time they win a trophy.

Someone getting the bug for their local side when things are on the up is a different thing entirely - how many of us here got hooked on the City in the Eddie May days - yes we were still in the lower leagues but the buzz around the club back then was incredible.

Good work on spreading the gospel as well dude!

I've been a regular since the Scoular days (apart from when we played in red). Been given stick plenty of times over the years by so called Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal "supporters" for our lack of success. The only thing is, the closest most of those have ever been to watching these so called big sides is Match of the Day on a Saturday night or Sunday Morning. They will tell you they support Man U or whatever, I don't consider watching a side on television as supporting a club. I think true supporters are those of us who pay money into the club, and give vocal backing to the players, and turn up most games wherever we are in the league. The people who "support" the big clubs by watching them on tv, or talking about them in pub,s are fans, certainly not supporters. Why anyone who is born and brought up in Wales would choose an English club over one of the Welsh clubs has always baffled me.

i had 2 seasons red shirts, as the blue ones. I try to buy every kit we get. (apart from cosway sports ones, they where shocking)
I also backed them when we turned red, simply for the reason to risk of what could have happened if Tan pulled the plug.
Did i want red? no. But i accepted it.

But end of the day, why has this been dragged up, top the league. back in blue. feel good factor is back, cant remember the last time we had it like this.

an admin should padlock this and get it sent to the darkest corners of the forum
