How is that possibly the end of the discussion?
Anyway, who says that it's only between a man and a woman? Tradition?
Traditions change. You know that all too well.

Why on earth should two people who are in love not have the right to get married? It's ludicrous.
Its not natural for a start - woman was created for man - simple
Well ignore that you made a comment that natural is not a good measurement for right. Because you'll lose (badly) unless you don't own a microwave, don't fly in planes and don't use the Internet.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ ... l_behavior1500 species. Yet only humans exhibit homophobic behaviour. So which is the unnatural one?

UK calls itself still a Christian society yet looks at homosexuality as ok as they love eachother as well ...........suppose murder is ok as long as you hate somebody enough ?
Did you just really compare homosexuality to murder? Did I actually read that?!
Tue Feb 05, 2013 7:14 pm
Homophobia is vile and so many posters on here are clearly anti-equality.
Sad to see.

Should it be allowed for the same sex to do this in this country. I know many years ago it would be looked down upon but times have changed since then we have gone from closet gay people to the guy down the street wearing makeup and talking/acting like a women.
I voted no for men as its not rite IMO, women on the other hand are allowed to but only if there NOT 18stone, short haired chunky chics with love & hate tattooed on each knuckle and bingo wings to suit

No . Not natural

Each to their own; we've fought wars against oppression to allow people their freedom of choice and, as long as no harm is done to anyone else, why not?
However, how any bloke can possibly be turned on by the sight of a hairy arsehole and a dangling bag of bollocks is beyond me - I'd rather be sipping from the furry cup myself

Why is everyone assuming this is about just men?
It seems people find two women more acceptable?

Lesbians are man haters' useless kunts the lot of em, bi sexual gurls are ok though. You can have a lot of fun with bi sexual girls, but proper dykes won't even give a man the time of day PFFFt

These politicians should be concentrating their efforts on getting this country out of the mire/mess that they have ALL managed to get us into.

Seems to have been passed with a landslide.
I couldn't care less, just cannot understand why they want this from a church that obviously shuns them.
How long before someone proposes to Kidwelly Jack? You know it's the only reason he's on here, waiting patiently.

Why not, it's not much different to that civil melarky they have now is it???
It would also give them some advantages like pension benefits etc.
I was talking to a lesbian today and she said they break up less often than straight couples and would have less divorces.

Notice a lot people with differing views on this subject
My take is this
I have nothing against same sex relationships and nothing against gay marriage so to speak, it will never be allowed in church as it is against the bible simple as that and the day it is allowed there may as well be no Vatican well that's how I see it as religion has been around longer than we care to imagine and that is what the Vatican and its decedents believe and always will doesn't mean to say that turning civil partnerships into marriages outside of churches is not indeed the way forward as now is probably the time as society has moved on rapidly in my 25 years of life let alone the last 100 years, of I think back 20 years you wouldn't see massive amount of 'gay' people out so openly in public as it was frowned upon but a society I believe we have learnt that it doesn't matter what colour race religion or sexuality you are we are all peopl and should be treated equally hence why the marriage proposals today will even out the rights of gay couples and I think this is the issue government were pressing for the equality for those gay couples and I understand that totally as I think this Is fair,
Only thing I don't really condone is children being adopted and raised by gays, in honesty it isn't natural people can dress it up however they want u can also raise the argument of men and women who can't have children but they do have other ways of getting children and yes there are very bad parents out their and no doubt gay couples could raise them to a far better standard but just because society has grown over the years and we as people believe more in gay rights etc doesn't mean that children should be raised by same sex couples I will
Never understands how It can be justified as normal a child is heavily influenced by its peers and parents and letting children grow up in a gay environment will possibly give children a much harder upbringing than the child needs as gorwing up is tough
Feel free to shoot down these comments as u will but that is my opinion all for gay marriage and better rights for gay people but draw the line at children and some will say my arguments contradicts itself and maybe it does but that is my belief and it won't change
Tue Feb 05, 2013 10:12 pm
No it should never be allowed, dirty stinking bastards make me want to vomit, it's not natural & repulses me.

The reason why it's currently illegal in this country is because of the bible.

In five years time none of you will barely remember it being any different. Times change and society has to move with them.
Got to be honest I'm surprised by some of the bigotry in the thread.
I can understand people being against gay marriage but this thread is just full of rampant homophobia
Imagine what any gay readers/posters would be thinking reading this thread.
If you were saying these things about any other groups you'd be getting bans or warnings.

This is not a case of moving with the times, knob jockey's will never get universal acceptance.

That's created more pain and suffering for the human race than any law ever created.
I'm expecting pitch forks and burnings now from some in this thread. I also wonder how many in here would react if a current City player ever came out as gay.

It literally has no barring on my life, or anybody elses life. It doesnt harm me nor anybody else.
So where is the problem i dont know?

Jesus was gay. He invited 12 men to his last supper and turned water to wine. A straight man would have invited 12 female hookers and turned the water to lager. Rumor has it they also used to go the gay club in Bethlehem and dance with glow sticks but I need to speak to my source about that one.
