I been promoted finished 2nd, think I would have won the league if it weren't for a few injuries to key players and whittingham being out for the last 3 months of the season.
Anyway how much do you get awarded for going up and when? At the moment the seasons finished I'm still in June but only got just over a million for transfers which is pretty shit so wondering do I have to rely on getting a lot of free transfers in?

Sorry Cakey! im still in the champ made a new save and only 10 games in currently in 6th, not sure if my formation is working or not. When you get the next teams Team Report, do you look at tactics faced and see what tactic they concede against most? and swap to that formation? or doyou just keep your basic tactic? im sure the money for the new season goes in when they ask you what your season expectancy is? and you get the 3 options? survival, mid table etc

started my first game today. imported my winning tactic from fm12,and so far its working played 4. won 3 of them 3-0 and won the other 3-1. helguson makes such as brilliant target man, especially with whitts as my playmaker. i have noticed though that my two loanee's at full back (potts from WHU) and (the young full back from spurs) keeps saying, they're getting skinned all the time. but defensivly we're looking okay. noticed its said a few times now we need to work on defensive set plays alot.

i've signed :
marvin something CM/AM french lad. free transfer
Adam Smith (i think) RB/LB - spurs season loan
Danny Potts - LB - WHU season loan
Carbone - DM - Free transfer

Out : all my youth, and reserves
Earnie - released free
Mcphail - release free
mutch - celtic loan
joe mason - sheff utd loan

going to loan out rudy when he recoveres from injury......

THEN MY f*cking LAPTOP DECIDED TO STOP WORKING ALL TOGETHER AND NOW CANNOT PLAY IT

he does indeed and not to bad in the prem - i'm at xmas 2014-15 season had a good first year in the prem finished 9th, TG gave me 25 mill for the season. still have whitts, kimbo, connelly, marshall, joe lewis, mason, mutch(he's developed quality) etien, kev mc and taylor(back ups)...bellers retired i wanted to keep him as a coach but his man managment skills were 1 lol

gunner wouldn't sign a new contrtact wanted 48k per week and wouldn't move and as mutch was playing way better so i stripped him of being capt and left him to rot in the reserves

apart from some young regens i've brought in Adryan first season and trained him MC - DLP, got yaya sanogo free at the end of his contract, kenny tete a young RB, some russian CB/LB, some guy caller royer from ajax as LM but the best player i've bought is jores okore he's a beast.

i'm playing a 4-4-2 on the counter and doing ok am mid table atm :ayatollah:

Find a good formation and stick with it because your team gets used to that formation and becomes fluid playing with it then, had 88 million from tv rights, still only had just over 2 million for transfer budget lol but did get quite a few free transfers in

I was given £10 million when I was promoted as champion first season :D

Might have been because I only promised him promotion so he rewarded me for being the champion?

I bought Darron Gibson to partner Whitts in the middle, sold gunner, Mutch on bench

After 12 games I am joint top with 26 points. I now have a FA Cup qualifying match and I have only gone and bloody drawn Newport haven't I! This will be interesting!

I brought in Seamus Coleman, Mathias Ostrozek and Ji Dong Won in my first season in the prem and narrowly avoided relegation.

The next season I grabbed Chris Smalling on loan, Curtis Davies on a free, Nikica Jelavic from relegated Everton, Lee Chong-Yon from Bolton and some South Korean LB/CB from QPR.

The 3rd season I got Balotelli on loan from Man City, Ben Foster from WBA and Smalling again.

Then my finger slipped and I deleted my save

Where do you play mutch to get the best out of him what role? He was on loan at Celtic last season and seems much better since he come back, also your formation isit set to counter as your style of play or just ticked counter near the bottom of the options?

Right guys, seriously need help! I do not know what i am doing wrong but i am currently 22nd after 16 games with 18 points, im in a relegation battle, im using 4-1-2-2-1 with balanced & Counter attack. Where am i going wrong? think ill leave the managing too Malky! :ayatollah:

Re: Football Manager 2013

badly need help myself. aftersuch a fantastic start. we havent won a game in 18 matches. we have gone 3-0 up. then from nothing we'd conceed 3 stupid goals. or against bottom derby. we've conceeded 4 goals in the first half.

my main tactic is 4222 we play slightly wide, slightly quick. direct passing. control

now we're fucked

In my experience playing counter attacking it dosent work, only time it worked for me was playing man city in the cup and I won 2-0 but they were a much better side than mine, using counter works against better sides than you not smaller sides or on the same par so try switch to attacking or control, play your players in the roles which fit them best look at their star ratings and don't over play them if they are under 90percent condition I don't normally play them rotate your team cos it means their tired, these things seemed to have worked for me so give it a try, play wide attacking with short passing and zonal marking, set up all your set pieces so you defend them decent to set it up so your best headerers are attacking and defending your set pieces for you

i play mutch as DLP - D on right centre midfield(i worked a bit on his defence) paired with Adryan as AP-s on his left with kimbo on left wing with attack duties and some young wonderkid regen on right wing with attack duties...yeah i have a rigid 4-4-2 set on counter with the right striker as a complete forward as the link(mason does ok but i bought sanogo for this role) and then i rotate mason and etien as the poacher - mason is better rated but etien seems to score more

i have done this in all previous football managers countless times. on my 2011 save i started as woking boss after getting the job offer with no previous experience. led them to the premiership where i resigned to take over at droylsden, done this with also wrexham, newport, darlington, and then joined elgin where i had gotten them to the SPL. dont get me wrong, its not easy. but when you find the right tactic, it was all about finding the right attributes, and by the time i had gotten to elgin, so many former league one championship players had been without a club for soo long they agreed to join. when i joined though i always got rid of everyone, and brought all new in...and it was hard on times, then we'd pull out a win and then the following season, with 2/3 additions, storm the league

I prefer to play the game this way. Yea it is harder but that's what also makes it more fun. Would you say 13 is the best of them all because I'm getting the itch to get back on fm and want to know if I should buy it or jus stick with 10 once I get round to fixing my disc drive

13 is defo worth getting. I played 11 and 12 previously and I love 13. Plus it's WAY more up to date than FM10, which makes it all the more refreshing :ayatollah:
