do we really feel that things can be manipulated to an outcome ,I know the Italians had a lot of sh.t going on throwing games etc and they have never recovered but I really cannot see this been the case in the world cup,to much of the world is watching not like in italy with the football and the mafia.

Had to give the penalty because it was clear cut but didn't help Mbappe by delaying it for so long.

These commentators are making this game unwatchable.

The current crop of ITV’s commentators are utterly woeful, and the BBC aren’t much better.

There was no reason for an over 3 minute delay, wtf were they doing all that time? Did they go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back to try & find a reason to not give the penalty? Were they on a FIFA mandated tea break? Were they all in the bathroom together? Would love to know why it took so long.

There should be a maximum of 4 VAR teams for the whole tournament, it's not like they need to travel to the games as the televised pictures they use could be beamed anywhere in the country or world even. 4 teams of 4 from 4 countries not involved in the finals would give consistency & alleviate most of the time waiting for a decision. Just a thought.

They will play Spain or Belgium, that game is at 8pm on Friday.
