If we sign anyone in jan Carl can then claim he was correct. I have no opinion on Carl either way, I don't know him - but this thread is a little pathetic.

At least give a tiny bit of info from each player so that when they do sign we can then realise who you were talking about "premiership defender not getting first team action currently" or something of that ilk. That won't scupper anything and would create a decent debate. But saying "we will sign people in jan if they come off" is a bit of an obvious nothing statement.

I have had some very interesting conversations this weekend regarding signings that Malky has lined up in January.

If the players Malky has targeted and expects to sign come in, then no doubt the feeling of expectation that promotion is a real possibilty will go through the roof.

We are in a strong position!!

The boss (Tan) has backed Malky all season. Malky has spent well and we have a bloody
good squad WELL capable of going up even if we dont strengthen in January. We WILL
buy new players, but Malky isnt desperate, we dont need to go into negotiations cap in
hand or throwing silly money. We are top of the league, and come January will still be
first or second (imo).... players will WANT to come here. They will HAVE to be pretty big
players too, else they will be wondering if their ever going to get a game!! Exciting stuff!!

Mason & Bellamy are not out ans out strikers.

Velaknoja is seemingly not up to it.

City have got by with plenty of players chipping in goals here and there; they need a proven striker to notch more regularly and put away those half chances. It would be the difference between hanging on at 1-0 or 2-1 and could be the difference between top 2 and play offs.

It's not a case of "not scoring enough" when we are the leagues top scorers and all our goals are spread evenly throughout the squad! We have goals coming from all over the pitch! We don't need a 20 goal a season striker if 3 or 4 midfielders are scoring 10 each!

We aren't struggling so i wouldn't say we are desperate for players, we just need sufficient cover and a squad capable of stepping in under rotation if needed!
