You can't beat Derby away. No hope against a premier league team. :-)

You should be careful what you wish for

I'd love to play you lot in the cup. The likes of Whittingham, Bellers, Kimbo and Noone would cause you problems. Not saying we would win but it'd be one hell of a game and there wouldnt be much in it.

I honestly think you underestimate the gulf in class Gareth. If you've got access to Cardiff City Player, you can also access our site where the full first half of our demolition of WBA is available.

Feel free to take a look and see if you revise your opinion.

As i have said!yes you get good gates but however until your cup runs and play offs you were only getting 12 to 13k in the champ.
Wile we were in the lower reaches of the leagues.
Your fan base grew due to high profile games,ie fa cup final, and a few play off finals!wile we only had league games and shit in the cups.
And again i will say we are light years ahead of you on the field, and to say otherwise is showing you up to be a bitter boy.

This is an away atmosphere and should be like it for home games http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsG7akAyVis All the singers and like minded people together. One thing for it the Canton and singers from Ninian have to swop with family stand. Whoever wants to stay seated in the canton/ninian have their choice to stay there.

In the 2010 season, when in the same competition, we were getting 23k average (high of 25k) and you were getting averages of 15k. Both teams were chasing promotion.

No doubt that Cardiff are the bigger club/side - history and fan base will dictate that, but there's no doubt that Swansea are by far the better team at the moment (no true City fan can argue that point)

The jacks are better than us at moment but not by much and i would love to play them in the FA Cup to prove this theory correct.

You would love to play us in the cup to prove that we are better than you? You do realise that that would mean losing the game Gareth?

Re: Swanseas Atmosphere

Ps i allso would love to play you in the cup!just to see what excuses you come up with after we tear your team a new asshole.
I will add im not saying that to get you biteing?as you are so easy on that front!but just look at the sides that run away last season in the champ and how much they are struglingin the prem even after spending millions.

Re: Swanseas Atmosphere

Thu Nov 29, 2012 7:34 pm

I think Swansea are miles ahead of us on the pitch - some of the players they have are fantastic. In a one off game - anyone could win.

We are the bigger side though.

Maybe I'm wrong but the championship is a very strong league. West ham have gone up and without spending big they are doing well. Reading were shit last season and god knows how they went up but they will go down. Saints have settled after a poor start. Last season yourselves and Norwich did really well and QPR managed to stay up. In previous years all 3 promoted clubs have been in a relegation battle.

The 3 relegated teams (Wolves, Bolton and Blackburn) have really struggled with only Blackburn looking like they can sustain a promotion push. When we go up we will need to strengthen defensively but I really don't think the gap is as big as it was.

This is what the Canton should be like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsG7akAyVis

I think since there's little chance of us swapping the ends, singers from the Ninian should come over to the Canton, even if they were to go in 104 or 107, it's still more singing than in 117 and that way the singing will spread throughout the Canton. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

We both know that your fact isn't true.

In the first year at CCS, Cardiff averaged 20,717 - which is bigger than the Liberty can even hold. In fact your attendance for your first season at Liberty was 14,155.

The liberty has never had a bigger average than that - even in the prem years!

2005–06 14,155
2006–07 12,720
2007–08 13,520
2008–09 15,186
2009–10 15,407
2010–11 15,507
2011–12 19,946

So - I don't know where you got your stat from.

Ah sorry - Yes, you did. That's what a new stadium does, I think you'll agree that you cannot judge fairly when you've got a brand new shiny stadium. Families would be more inclined to go the Lib than the Vetch for example.

As I say, say year - same division, and in YOUR promotion season, your gates were an average 8,000 less than ours.

Hasn't this debate been done a zillion times?

You had bigger crowds FACT.

You built your crowds up by selling season tickets on the back of the FA cup semi/final and sustained it by selling them on the back of the play off final FACT

Despite this, we still overtook you and got to the Premier League FACT

On the pitch and at the bank we are now light years ahead of you FACT

As for the loan, if it does exist (something I've yet to see any evidence of apart from an article in the ever reliable Sun!), it's clearly there for cashflow purposes.
