Malky WAS tactically inept (sort of, he had his tactics wrong) but that's all changed and it's working. HE IS THE CHOSEN ONE!

Why slate Polo for having an opinion?

This was back at the 3rd of November?

Things have changed yes?

During the time of this post Polo actually made some good points no pointing slating him during a time where things have changed.

This mb is the best CCFC forum. We've got some great posters who are interesting and actually know a bit about football and Polo is one of them. Haven't been arsed to see why this OP has been bumped up. But as I recollect, the OP was probably because at the time we were 5 5 1 away and losing. And now we're not. And he would have said that MK has thus quickly adapted to win.

Like to see Nedd Glas back on here real soon too. Happy Christmas Bluebirds - Top Of The League and we are fecking going up. :ayatollah:

Exactly. Digging up something when he wrote that during a defeat at the start of November.

Things have changed now.

5-5-1 goalie nearest wasn't working to be fair.

Fact remains he got the tactics all wrong at Bolton. Thankfully hes addressed the away form.

there's a difference by attention seeking friend. i asked about potential of it. gave no opinions on it. i talked about a 'what if' of the future. u stated that malky was tactically inept after losing to a team who were in the prem last season   how poor must the other managers be then? ooops u started a bit of name calling there. don't like it when its turned on u do u? lets be honest.

i said 3 years because fergie was apparently retiring at 3 years and once again i said 'has he got the potential'. I'll quickly explain what potential roughly means in football terms....'someone who could grow into the role and go further. (and i only asked if people thought he could, not that he actually could) show me the bit where i personally said myself 'malky is good enough to manage man utd and I'll show u where u were completely wrong about malky being tactically inept. i like where u say cry baby cos i think u r one of a few who throws his toys out of the prom whenever someone has a different opinion to u.

The man he protest too much.

Have a handkerchief Darryl. Dry your eyes mate.

And you didnt show me anything because the tactics at Bolton were inept. FACT.

Polo is right. Malky did get it wrong at Bolton. It was blatant to see. No point harping back to it mind. It's done and done. As Polo has stated, the away form is now sorted. We might not be playing the best football but it's clinical and effective. I think Malky is pretty good on the tactical front but that doesn't mean he won't make mistakes. If he didn't make mistakes he'd be managing in the top flight.

I dislike Polo but I actually agree with Polo.

And boom goes the dynamite.

Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay said:
"It shows a great fighting spirit to press and keep pressing and keep knocking the door.
"We had a couple of chances just before that [equaliser] from [Peter] Whittingham and Fraizer Campbell, so to get the actual goal in the end is a hard-earned reward for that team tonight.
"It's about making sure that we just stay focussed on our task in hand, we've got to make sure that we only look at the team that's in front of us.
"Everyone else is in the same boat in terms of chasing, in terms of picking up points every week and knowing that wherever you go in the division there's tough games, and you saw that again tonight."

If he cannot see how shit it has been since Brighton we are truly lost.

Just because things improved.. I am not the biggest fan of Polo but in fairness during the time he wrote this thread he was spot on.. things improved and he admits that.

Polo is still right up until this point.

At times we've been God damn lucky this season. Others have failed to capitalise as well when we've slipped up. Malky has made some very questionable decisions in regards to tactics whether it be his starting lineup or the subs he makes later on in a game.

Malky is a manager who is tactically inept at the moment and thats fine by me as he's still a manager learning his trade. Had he had an average side like at Watford he'd have finished in an average position but hes been given money to spend and when you bring everything together even a tactically inept young manager with a lot still to learn can get the job done.

1. We've been lucky
2. Other teams have not capitalised
3. Hudson and Marshall carried us/bailed us out at times
4. He had money to spend

Malky will be the first himself to tell you at times hes got it wrong and is still learning the game. Some managers have 20 years of experience on him. It takes a long time to assess tactics and get them working because you are playing against different teams every week with different tactics and players.

I think that's a fair assessment of things.
