Well if they are anything like your loyalty and sense of identity then they are EASILY REMOVED.

My loyalty is to the club I have watched since I was eleven, my love came about because of the same attraction others have felt, my local team, the older lads used to go, so i wanted to, my dad supported them and had even been on the books just before the war.
I never went down there because I liked the shirt or even cared what colour it was, that never mattered to me, it wouldn't have stopped me going if they had played in tartan, and as stated my sense of identity is about far more than a colour or a badge which has changed too many time to list.
I genuinely feel sorry for those that are so wrapped up in a colour, I don't know of any occasion where i or any of my mates have asked what colour shirt we are playing n when asking them if they wanted to come to an away game.
To me the identity that matters is the feeling of belonging and fellowship, and the shared passions of hurt and ecstasy that only real fans feel and understand, the camaraderie and crack we have had and the times we have watched each others backs when in a scarpe, all these things keep me linked, not what colour or shade of colour the current shirt happens to be.
And that's after accepting that my favourite choice of colour is blue and always will be blue, but not at the expense of my love for the club.
