We will get promoted for sure. Our home form will dictate that.

Losing any game after being 2 nil up so early is hard to take, but losing a game to 2 pens is heart breaking. No knee jerk reactions but wish malky would change this 4 5 1 formation and take a few chances.Big games coming up and win our next 2 and we back in the mix.Come on city :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I have no problem with 451 away from home. With the players we have it quickly turns to 433 anyway.

Besides 451, 442, 443 it dint matter we are scoring plenty its just keeping them out the other end.

agreed we def need to tighten up at the back.

bolton made a cracking signing on loan this week in left back stephen warnock who was out of favour at villa. would have been a good loan signing that one.

i also think we need to start bringing velikonja or mason into the starting line up. upfront we are not going to get goals from helguson.

mutch and maynard were missing big time yesterday.

I have been impressed by Malky since the day he came to the club. He has a winning mentality and has gelled the dressing room into a team who work hard for each other, rather than just quality individuals.

He is still learning his trade and does make mistakes, especially sitting on a lead. That said I have total belief that we will get promoted this year, top 2 is a big ask but even if we are in the play offs I believe Malky will provide the mental belief the players need to go up.

We must remember that this is a newly assembled squad and still learning to play together. I'm sure when we are fully gelled we will go on a fantastic run.

In Malky we trust. :ayatollah:

we wont go up if he continues in the same way ....too stuborn ...falls out with players ....very reluctant to change players earlier enough when so clearly needed....has favourites who he continually picks ...imo he is not experienced enough yet on the tactical side ....he says and does the right things we the fans wont to hear and see ....but that wont get us promoted.....not sure our bigger squad is actually a benifit ..as we seem to have a soft side now ...and we dont seem to be as hard working as a team compared to last season....the bigger the squad the harder it is to keep all players match fit and happy ....my example of this is think about conway he looked our best player during the pre season games ....where is he now not even making the bench ...velinkonja looked good against newcastle cost over £1 million not had 1 minute of playing time in our first 7 games same with kiss ....so is malky saying they are not good enough ....after all he signed them.....or has he still got his prefered favourites ....finally after the performances of bellamy at brighton and palace maybe he should be kept for home games only or as an impact player off the bench and we must get good quality defencive new blood :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

My honest opinion is that as a club we cannot afford to wait for makay to learn his trade n all this bull that goes with him,he has no choice but to deliver us promotion THIS season , I support him or whoever else sits in as manager but the reality is this guy has had his bedding in season now has had the cash to add quality to it its all on him now.The club and our fans have backed makay and to date he is doing ok (and only ok) but i belive if come christmas we are not in the top 4 or still in the hunt for automatic promotion we should give him the boot because this club cannot afford to wait for him we owe makay fuk all.
The team promise to deliver we have looked good in stages and equally looked fukin awfull and I only hope that once the players get used to each other we will become a serious force but as we know there are no guarantees .
I honestly think his next 4 games are his most important and we will be clear ourselfs of what type of squad we really have Blackpool Brum ,Ipswich n Forest apart from OUR bogey side Blackpool i EXCPECT 9 points cos they are getting beat by everyone else ,a team that goes up automatically WOULD take adavantage of these sides (who are out of form) n beat them thats what good sides do .Makay now needs to install confindence back quick throwing a 2 -0 lead away is not fukin good enough ,yesterday some of his decisions were shit ,KIM was given 2 minutes at the end WHY ? Stick him on when your 2 up makes more sense to me and NOONE on the bench ? we only look good when he is on the pitch so why is he sitting on the bench ,makay now has a job to do he needs to step up and do it :ayatollah:

The Malaysians have demanded promotion with no excuses and im afraid malky could be out of his depth here
Hes a great guy and I have all the respect in the world for what he did last season but we wont get promoted with him in charge
very ,very worrying performance yesterday,no leaders on the pitch,no one was talking
would west ham, southampton or reading have come close to losing that game yesterday?

Malky last season relied on Miller too much and we failed. This season it's Helguson. Play offs at best, imo.

Play offs, then it's kind of a lottery.

I get quite sick of this 'Give him Time' load of utter crap . We haven't got time , the Club needs to go up in the next 2 years or can then just kiss goodbye to the dream . Cardiff missed the board by not getting Sam Allardyce or Ian Holloway when they were in between jobs and keeping hold of Jones for far too long. You have the likes of Harry Redknapp or Alan Curbishley twinddling their thumbs on the likes of MOTD - experiences managers that have done it and are tried and tested .

Get Malky out and get the likes of Rednapp in , lets not do another Dave Jones cock up . Malky with the war chest and by far the best squad in the division can't beat the likes of Palace or Bristol - Teams we should be beating if we're to have any chance of going up in the top 2 .

Just not good enough Malky and your dire brand of Football is enough to turn anyone of football for life

I enjoyed the first half, but the 2nd half was dire. Great day out, though, again.

Nope I was in work , but this isn't a rant based on just Crystal Palace , its based on Malky time since he's been at the Club . A nice bloke and top man he is , but I hate his dire brand of negative football and playing 1 up front or making subs with less than 20 mins to go (even if the Club is getting played off the park) - what is the point in that ? . His style is turning me off I don't hate the guy personally and think he make a great number 2, but Cardiff can and should do be better for the number 1 . I 've had enough of waiting enough of giving Mangers a chances , the Club needs a experience manger that can deliver and with squad and money we'vespend we should be doing a hell of a lot better .

And I do have to ask what is the point is spending money on the likes of Velikonja, Bo-Kyung if they're only ever going to play bit part rolls or not even play at all. Why isn't Velikonja staring a game and how to do the hell does Malky expect Bo Kyung to make a mark and impact on a game by brining him on with less than 20 mins to go . That's a great way to build up both players confidences

Fair enough, no argument there, apart from the fact that I feel a lot of football fans are keen on criticising the managers and the players seem to escape scott-free, most of the time.

We weren't great in the 1st half on Saturday, as everyone knows, but we went in 2-0 up, hence the atmosphere in the bar at half-time!

I honestly feel, though, that the players let us down hugely in the 2nd half and it can't just be MacKay who takes the flak for that. It has to be fifty-fifty at the very least, if not more criticism of them than him - he didn't handle the ball, for instance.

If we win the next 2 home games, the chances are, things will settle down again - if we don't, there might be some serious calls for him to go, when we possibly need to give him - and the players - a little bit more time. We're only 3 points from the top and I'm not feeling too gloomy, despite having witnessed the Ashton Gate and Selhurst Park defeats. Room for improvement, definitely, but also not yet the time to self-harm.

Nobody used to say that with Jones or the other past Managers so why should it with Malky ? . Why didn't malky change it when the 2nd Palace goal went it ? what was the point in brining on Bo-Kyung with just a couple of min's to go and what the point in singing the likes of Velikonja when you can't even be bothered to play him most of the time , even with your number 1 striker out . Are these such wrong questions to ask ?

Malky is trateing the likes of Velikonja and Bo-Kyung with utter contempt imo and its hardly doing their confidence any good . What's Malky saying to the likes of Velikonja . 'You know what Velikonja I'll keep you on the bench and not even play you , despite our main striker being out , becasue it do you good in the long run'

I've certainly been critical of players and their lack of effort in the past, not just under DJ but before his tenure and since his departure, too.

I agree with you about the lack of game time for the players you mentioned, but I also feel we lack a captain on the pitch to shake up the team when they're flagging. We should've played a lot better than we did at Selhurst with the quality we had on the pitch, regardless of what we could've brought on from the bench.

Whether it's wise to change the team for the Blackpool game is open to question, but I'd certainly like us to try 4-4-2 with Mason and Helguson as the front two and bring Bellamy on as an impact player with about 25 to 30 mins left, if we need to.

Playing one up front is an insult to me when playing home and sign of weakness, I despise it for Wales or Cardiff

Its not only Malky fault but his formations and subs stink where things don't got plan . Play 2 up front and go for it and starts likes of Bo-Kyung . I go to watch football for excitement and goals and Malky's tactics are killing my love for Cardiff and the game and lets face it, he's never going to change

I don't know if he's never going to change, there might be pressure from on high for him to do so, especially where Kim is concerned.

As for the quality of football played, it's sometimes very good and has, at times, been dire. I can see why you're downhearted and when I leave the CCS, I haven't always been laughing and joking (maybe due to the lack of atmosphere), but this season is pivotal in Malky's career, so if we aren't doing well by Christmas, I'd be surprised if he was still here.

Re: " LETS BE HONEST THEN "

I was at the game Saturday, a real gutter. We were fortunate to be 2-0 up at halftime, though both goals were absolute crackers;

The real shock was how poorly we played in the second half. The penalties were rash by both Cardiff players, the ref was obviously a homer and was dying to give Palace anything, so why lunge in/put your elbow up? As for the second, I'm sorry but whilst Marshall pulled off a great save in the first half, he lacks command of the box and flapped, at least from where I stood which admittedly was 80 yards away  .

What disappointed me most was how flat we appeared in the second half.

As for formations (and all the people slagging off Malky) City had Bellamy playing up front in a 4-4-2 much of the last period I thought.

The manager was't to blame for us losing, the players were. I've never left a game without applauding the players, but it was tough to witness our collapse.

One bright spot was the Crystals - my mate thought it would be a good idea to get some at the City, if only we could find 12 that size in the rhymney valley

Onwards and upwards boys, at least we don't have a shit stadium with only 12,700 people in it.
