We've signed Bothroyd on loan until January, just wondering what your opinion on him is? Obviously i presume he was well liked down here and he scored goals for you, what type of player can we expect? One of the best strikers in the divison, or do you still call him Jay 'not' Bothered.

On a side note, Dave Jones's first defeat on Saturday, but he's brought in what seem to be really good players on quite a restricted budget compared to the likes of Cardiff who have spent alot and we've started well. Got a good feeling about him, do you think he can keep the good form going?

Good luck this season.

Jay is easy to sum up....quality, when he wants to be ;)

Spot on, prob one of the top 5 Championship players, when he wants to be.

Bet the tosser scores against us...........

He'll score a hat trick in the first half against us and we'll go in 3-0 down.

Then we'll come back and win 4-3 in the second half :D

Jay when he was on form was one of the best strikers i have seen down the City fantastic technical ability with great balance and skill however for a big man he doesn't put himself about enough. A decent centre half will get at Jay knock him off his game and that's when you will see the other side of Jay moaning to the ref, feigning injury and spending far too much time on his arse.

I know for a fact he enjoyed playing for DJ and he seems able to get the best out of Jay with regards DJ very good Manager who could well get you into the Play Offs but can he take you that extra step??????????????

Good luck for the rest of the season apart from when you play us of course :D :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

One of the best players we've ever had when he wants to be. Like my mate Polo said, far too much negativity and HATRED on the forum towards DJ and Jay, we are crying out for both manager and striker of this quality today. It's no mean feat to get an England cap whilst playing in the second tier.

Up until Jay played for england in a friendly he was our best player, by a mile at the time in my opinion. Unfortunately either because he got too big for his boots or through an awful coincidence he was never the same afterwards. Apparently we also stopped him leaving for Fulham in the January window which may not have helped. Can be brilliant but can also be a lazy 2@!

Jay is pure class at this level.

DJ... he just ran of of steam, ideas, enthusiasm and lacked any willingness to work hard for us by the end. More interested in horses and golf and I am not sure he is ambitious enough. For the first few years he was superb and integral into us staying in the division when things were really bad off the field.

Saying that enjoy your new annual events that will become more regular than Christmas and Easter - "No Win November" and "Bottling it in the play offs"

oozes skill and ability but his attitude is piss poor, for quite a big fella he isn't physical enough either hence he ends up on the floor whingeing to the referee most of the time. he is also one of the laziest players I have ever seen in my life.

Fantastic player, best striker in the league (before his England cap).

Lost his head now I'm afraid :(
