No, it's them insinuating it by writing those exact words on a banner 8-)

Controlling owners are more common nowadays than they were in the eighties, I imagine.

Do you take everything you read literally?

The term 'modern football' is a bit of a joke to be honest. Todays 'modern football' is different from yesteryears 'modern football' and will no doubt be different from 'modern football' in the future. Out of interest though Gwyn, how long do you need to be a football supporter for in your eyes to class this as modern football?

And this coming from you who works in a Nuclear plant, how would you feel if we went back to coal. Gwyn Davies, against modern energy, I can feel a banner coming on now.  [/quote]

Your opening post was belittling them Gwyn. You know what they are against but clever you turns It into how you can take the piss out of them. You know they are against owners coming in and changing a club and it's history.
Now your comment above  I have never been against coal and firmly believe with modern technology and our coal still not mined we can produce clean energy with it.
And CP76 or what ever your name is you are a typical leftie do gooder who let his haylo slip as you accuse me then you are abusive yourself by calling all those lads in the photo "Dickheads" so that makes you a hypocrite

f**k modern football they will never compare with years ago but we will say the same about today in 10years time when it changes in everyway as we once knew it, that's life I'm afriad we move with the times even though it kills me knowing what's happened to us but what can we do about it and the answer is nothing at all or stop watching.

Chief I agree. But I respect those guys opinions to express there beliefs . Perhaps if Gwyn asked what part of modern football they are against, then fine. Yes I am against any wanabe owner that waltzes In and changes everything about the club.

Are you against any wannabe owners that come in and save us from being liquidated, or are you in the I'd rather go out of business blue than PROgress in red?

If you are against these wannabe owners, what was your back up plan when it seriously looked like we were fucked.?

Would rather play in blue in the conference Chief. And it was never Red or dead just Tan and yourself included trying to convince the fans that was the case.

You say I know what they are against, yes, they are against modern football, it says so on their banner, if they are against the Malaysians, then put that on a banner.
If they hate modern football, why watch it, how many top clubs in the country are owned solely by fans, how many of those boys are members of the TRUST, if they believe that ownership of clubs should be in the fans hands, what are they constructively doing about it.

If they think life is about fair play and everyone does what you want them to do, then they are in for a rude awakening, what if their boss in work says we are changing our uniforms to this colour, what if they live in a rented flat and the owner decides to put the rent up, what if their favourite pub decides to turn itself into a restaurant, perhaps life will be bringing them a few wake up calls, because it ain't all about what we want happens.

What is their plan to change modern football, is it that different to when they started watching football, the game they fell in love with, most of them weren't watching when Sam came here and looked at the possibility of changing our colours before finally just changing the badge, so same approach just different times.

Do they have a plan to stop football progressing? do they think if they can successfuly oppose modern football moving forward in this country, that the other countries will not advance as well or will they simply leave us behind.

Just can't get my head around coming out with bold statements and banners stating you hate the thing you are in love with ??????????? what was it you fell in love with, and how as it changed that much since you fell in love with it, as far as I remember it's been mostly this way for a fair time now.

Im not the one taking the moral highground as you are. I know I can be abusive but then im not crying over others being abused. Dish it out take it back, always been my motto.

You make sick jokes about Maddie McCann but then get upset over Gwyn belittling some lads in a photo. Very very strange. :?

If you read the original statement after the initial facebook and twitter rants Tg said that we would revert to blue but we would have to look for investment from other sources. in other words tan was out.
Maybe red or dead might have been a bit strong but it seemed to me red or critically ill looking for a life support machine.
I dont adhere to the common opinion that tan would not walk away either as there will come a time when if we are still not where he wants us to be he will still cut and run.
my opinion is we need to go up this season and the only time we will revert to blue is if and when the malaysians sell us on.

Steve, on the night of the meeting Whiteley was asked if VT didn't keep on investing as he was doing, how long would the club survive, and Whiteley replied without alternative investors, a few months at most.

Now that may be a way of saying we would be in the shit, it may be a way of saying no problem, make your own mind up, but as far as i see it it was a case of without VT's continues support we were screwed.

We couldn't find investors before VT came along, where do people think the new ones were going to suddenly appear from to rescue us, now that the debt had got even bigger.

For all those that say it was never a case of red or dead, what was their plan, how did they see us progressing if he stopped investing, what was their plan B.
me personally I love the club too much to even take the slightest risk, but after all I'm just another plastic fans that has sold out.

Some people profess to love the club so much, they would be prepared for it to close over a colour and a badge. do they really want what's best for the club, or what they see is best for themselves?

I just said I find it strange you mock the kidnap of a small child, but get all uppity over Gwyn having a giggle at some naive, impressionable kids holding a contradicting banner.

Most normal folk would laugh the banner joke off and get pissy about mocking the dissapearance of a child but each to their own. Takes all sorts I suppose.
