I'd rather not gamble with the future of our club personally.
Neither would many of us but with the level of debt right now we have to go for promotion. Your ideas would just send us backwards and would also see us go out of buisness

Backwards yes, out of business no. And that's the key.
Theres no point in going forwards if it means you will cease to exist as a result.

No we would still go out of buisness. If we went into admin we dont have enough assets to pay of the debt so would end up like portsmouth. Selling all our players would just see us slide down the leagues where we would have less crowds and less income therefore being in the exact same position now just at a lower level and still facing the same problems

Our debt currently stands at around 58 million if you accept that Sam will take 10 million.
First things first we need to get rid of these players on anything more than 8k a week. I think we have £20 mill worth of players plus whatever we can do on the stadium.
If we don't have the assets to cover the debt it won't mean we become insolvent. Administration can be in the form of a cva in which the people you owe have to accept to pay what you can afford to write off the debt, if they don't agree then they get hardly anything as the club goes under. Why would they do that when they can get most back through a cva?
However once tan becomes the sole creditor with over £100 m owed to him, there really is no way back from that.

Once tans investment is in place we have 1 season to go up, this one. If not then there's no way he will put another £17 million in to cover the shortfall as it makes no business sense to do so. Once he asset strips and get out of the club we will struggle to pay our daily running costs of the club as it will be done over such a short period of time. This alone could make us insolvent as the pot will be empty.

You have no proof that this is Tans plan and therefore just using it as sensless scaremongring. If Tan was ready to jump ship he wouldnt have brought in the rebranding

Im amazed at how you're able to roll these facts off, it's as if you work for the club?
We also got to a cup final last year. Income has been aroun £14-£15 million for a few years now. Wage bill has steadily increased and over the last few years has settled around the £16 million mark. These are facts.
No I don't work at the stadium, nor does that matter. We don't make the shirts we order them, we sell them and the supplier takes the majority of the cut. I know this as I've worked in a company that supplied kits before. The figure of 9000 was quoted to me by a member of the club. This is not a shockin figure, it's about average for a club our size.
A quick google search will probably tell you the profit clubs make off shirt sales. It's next to nothing,

You don't have any proof that this isn't the plan.
Brilliant answer
All we can go on is what we know, his history and what's the most likely outcome. We know he's an astute businessman so why would he throw £100 million away, 15% of his total personal wealth? The simple answer is he certainly won't. Can he get this kind of money back by realistic on field success? Absolutely not. So what is the only other way he can get his money back.....
He hasnt invested the full £100 million, £30 million will be probably be spent on the stadium expansion and training ground which has been stated wont be built till we get to the prem. So if we fail to make it this year he could easily use that money to cover us for another 2 years at least. Then if we make it he will be gaining the £90 million prize that comes with the premier league
The rebranding looks more likely to be a tool to make it easier to offload the club to Chinese business,en when he's done. Otherwise, as said by many - it makes no sense.
Of course thats the whole point of the rebranding from day one. Tan hasnt got the money to be able for us to compete at the top level regularly. By advertising us to Chinese buiness men he can bring in rich buyers to either gain shares and help pay or too take over

It wasn't an answer it was a direct opposite of what you directed at me as the truth could be said both ways.
All we can go on is what we know, his history and what's the most likely outcome. We know he's an astute businessman so why would he throw £100 million away, 15% of his total personal wealth? This is a common error a lot of people make. It's not ?£90 million. Swansea saw an income of around £54 million after their successful first year. The average increase in wages is £23 million. Plus the average spend just to compete is £12 million, added to the cost of promotion which is around £10 million in bonuses and clauses triggered. This on top of our £17 million shortfall means we would make a loss of £19 million and that's if we finished 11th like Swansea. No profit from promotion under this business plan.
The rebranding looks more likely to be a tool to make it easier to offload the club to Chinese business,en when he's done. Otherwise, as said by many - it makes no sense.

Why would he want us to, he's already going to spend 15% of his worth on a club that can't even make a profit if they get promoted.

Do you have a girlfriend?
I'm guessing no.
I'm kind of seeing a smelly scruffy bedroom with sheets so stiff with jizz that they
resemble popadoms. Greasy hair, lots of computer equipment. Perhaps some
borderline 'youngster' videos in the cabinet disguised as 'Swansea's Greatest Goals'
on the front cover
P
Your not gay, nope. I'm convinced your just unlucky with women, soap may help!
but you are pretty much friendless, this mesageboards importance has taken on
epic
proportions in your life.
Sometimes you get so wound up about Cardiff (Capital) City that you forget to masturbate
dont you. It makes you even angrier with life.
I predict you will end it all within the next twelv months.
You will be undiscovered for weeks. Even your mam thought you'd left home.
RIP feller.

Swansea got promoted by living within their means, only spending what they as a club earn with a strict wage budget.
There is no argument that this is not possible to do as they have proved it can be.
