Simply put, buy nothing red from Cardiff City FC. This will hit the pockets of the Malaysians, and show them that the colour change is not acceptable to Cardiff fans.

Anyone I see wearing a red city shirt this season will be seen as nothing more than a sell-out.

You cant call everyone wearing the red a sell out :banghead: :banghead:

There are thousands of new fans for whom City do not have the same history as
us older people. Some teenage kid who has been watching Cardiff City for two
years may not have the same affiliation to the Bluebird badge or blue shirts.

I'll be gutted to see one person wearing a Red top, but 'sell-out' is not a word that
can be applied to them all

Yes I can, and will always call a 'red wearer' a sell out, regardless of how long they have been a fan. Let's face it, we're hardly a global brand, we don't have fans who know nothing of our history. The fans we have, and 99.9% that will EVER walk up to the turnstiles will be us, born to Cardiff fans, who themselves were born to Cardiff fans.

Then your going to be disappointed.

More so than me probably... Cos I can see it coming a mile off :(

Nothing would please me more than to see the shelves chocka with red kits
they just cant sell. But over the last few years, the tone of a lot of our fans
has changed. A lot dont care a f**k about our cold nights in Carlisle... they
want the big time, in their shiny new kit, irrespective of colour. They will
be waxing lyrical about being the 'new breed' and how the 'bad old days' of
violence, beer and bad language are gone forever. Lets face it, you even see
rugby tops in there now :(

Sadly Taff, thats the new generation of fans and most of them cant spell the word "morons"

Not so much disappointed, as sickened. I will never understand a Cardiff fan's reasoning behind buying a red shirt.

I will not speak to anyone wearing a red shirt. That includes friends.

However, I'll not act like a gorilla and verbally threaten and abuse those that choose to.

Odd that as you have already referred to them as 'sell outs?' :?

A passive protest could involve not buying merchandise from the club shop. Trouble is I think its the merchandise sold well away from CCS which is going to have the most impact.

Think about where most fake clothing is made. Then wonder if anyone is going to buy official merchandise in those countries, or just buy the much, much cheaper fake option.

Week after week of every fan wearing blue will show the world that the fans are not happy, and will never be.

Fake merchandise is as much a problem in the UK as it is in the Far East so your point doesn't really carry the weight you think it does.

That said by all means don't buy red if you feel that way (actually I won't be buying any either) and wear your Blue with pride in an act of passive defiance (as will I), but drop the snide remarks about red sell outs as that will get you and your cause nowhere.

My son wants the red top and I dont want to hurt his feelings knowing he'd be sitting there at ccs beaming and cheering on city. Its a catch 22. Though Im not going to disappoint him for the sake of others Im afraid

Not a "cause" as you put it, more an observation. But I won't be running up to people in the street calling them sell-outs or threatening them with violence. I'll leave that to the morons.

Why not sit him down and explain why he shouldn't have a red shirt? Character is built from a young age.

Check your facts, Tony. Far Eastern countries are known for being tolerant of counterfeit goods.

Hes 6 at the mo and has not long started going to the ccs to see his first few games, but he is so besotted by city that he just wants to show his love for them. Also trying to explain to a 6 year old about the current situation is pretty difficult as I dont want to bombard him with it all when he may find it hard to understand a little

However Cardiff City sell the majority of their shirts through the club, so the fake issue in the UK regarding Cardiff City shirts is not really an issue is it?

Thats a definite anyway, but if he wants to wear the red down the ccs then I dont want to have to be worrying about the reaction he may get from witnessing aggro

As soon as KCB set up it was KCB and the rest. Thats what happened.

Both are to blame.

It was always going to kick off if the kcb was formed or not
