Jack,
nice maths and if your club is taking that much money how about doing the decent thing and fully re-paying all those creditors who were shafted at the time of administration? A start on paying some rent might also be appreciated by the local council tax payers who subsidise your occupation of the municipal stadium.

Money isnt everything......I know we cant survive without the Malaysians backing but this whole thing stinks.....we are just his plaything of which he can do whatever he wants with.
If I was the fan of any other club I'd feel genuinely worried for us.....and disgusted that it was allowed to happen.

Completely understand your view and of course in an ideal world I would have wanted to stay blue. All these people outside looking in are bound to say stuff but it's easy for them as its not their club at risk. I just think that in these circumstances we take the investment and ride the wave. Without it I honestly believe we could be looking at a Rangers scenario. It hadn't been handled well but longer term I reckon we will be back in blue but in a much stronger position than today.

You accuse them of being nervous ffs  but my personal favourite "Illusions of grandeur" The irony in them 3 little words is bloody astounding.

If you really think the Jacks are nervous and worried about us after just finishing 11th in the Prem whilst we fail miserably again then you sir are deluded. You can take solace in the fact you are not alone judging by this crazy thread.

Just making the point that you know all about jealousy and at least you didn't deny it. Not interested in your view on Cardiff city as you will never have anything constructive to say. Key fir me thiugh is whatever we do or you do ill still prefer to be us and your constant bragging will never change that. Football is cyclical and ill bide my time. That phrase related to your not on their radar line. I don't buy that for a second, in fact theres enough of them on here to go against that. Yes they are in a higher league, so far for a season with another one to come. Hardly established yet. So for them to say we don't matter to them anymore is premature and illusions of grandeur

The nervous comment was used to come away from the jealous theme, so I was actually not going along with others one is thread. And yes I believe they are but in the context of us making the prem too as they would hate that since it would take away their constant bragging rights.

Love the way you cover up your false accusations with the semantics line too. Sometimes it's a release to admit you were wrong

Re: WHAT IF THE JACKS DID IT

Someone needs to tell them that our club will gain more money from Premier League TV rights next season then will be invested by Vincent Tan in to Cardiff next season.

We've already secured over £100 million from being in the Premier League for two years, when you account the guarenteed parachute payments. We already have the people at the club to make us a long term Premier League team.

So really, you are jealous f**k at us, at the moment.

To be honest, pretty much everyone of us shares the viewpoint of 12th Man. I haven't seen or spoke to any supporter who when I brought up the Cardiff re brand discussion didn't just laugh.

What have we got to be jealous of?

You signing Richard Keogh or Jordan Mutch? We wouldn't take either.
You getting new training facilities? We're getting new training facilities.
You getting a new stadium expansion? We have planned a new stadium expansion.

The reality is that you sold your sole, and your club to some random Malaysian who is going to see the end of you. He sees Cardiff City as an opportunity to invest and to make money, that's why he made the investment to make a complete turn around in the clubs finances. Your not going to get that money back, you know it. Unless you are promoted, which is hardly something you can guarentee or expect, then your going to continue to make loses because you know that changing your shirt colour won't increase attendences or merchandise sales.

Then there's the issue of FFP, which will start in 2013. If you don't go up next season, your truely fucked. At this stage Vincent Tan has to make a decision, the club aren't going to have the finances to pass FFP if they get promoted, carrying on with the way your current finances are working. Whilst i'm not doubting that he plans to invest the whole £100 million he's going to either have to decide to put his money where his mouth is, or continue investing unsustainably, and be punished by FFP. To get FFP off his back, he's can't continue to pay loans to Cardiff City, because the debt will not decrease, therefore FFP won't be pleased, so he'll have to actually invest his money which he won't be happy with. No equity shit. At this stage, when Cardiff start, invevitably, making small loses agai, he'll f**k off back to Malaysia and ask for his money that he leant 2010-2012 back and you'll be in a far worse situation then the likes of Portsmouth.

How the f**k you think we'll be jealous of that is beyond me

You accused Treharris Jack of "Knowing all about jealousy" therefore implying the Jacks were jealous. Which is nonsense really.

Crikey didn't realise you knew VT so well. The only point worth noting here is that the investment is designed to help us get to the prem when we will get the same money as you. So you see it's not an 'either - or' thing. Thanks for the concern though, very touching. Boring, but touching.

Wow you're hard work. If you read posts correctly you will see that I was saying they know about jealousy since they've spent years of being jealous of us. Not that they were jealous now. So it implied nothing about now which the jack understood. So you were wrong again.

Re: WHAT IF THE JACKS DID IT

Back to the OP, I genuinely think that 99.9% of Swans fans would agree with me that we are happy how we are. A board with fans in there, 20% owned by the trust and ticking along nicely.

We had our boom and bust in the past and none of us want to ever go down that path again. If it means we eventually make a few steps backwards, we will accept it and carry on, most of us would view foreign or major investment with a large amount of scepticism.

These are the good times for us down here and I'm sure that in the future there will be the familiar rough patches, however, I wouldn't swap our current position for yours, investment or not.

I don't think that was necessarily the case Dazz, as I believe that he may well have known what he was doing!

Bear in mind he took over the club and nigh on immediately asset stripped the club, by borrowing the following umpteen seasons ticket money and without the means to meet their monthly outgoings!

Compare that to VT, who has so far only put his own money into the club to keep us going! :ayatollah:

All five of them, to a man, said they are very jealous of Cardiff's investment, and when they compared our future to that of Rangers, one of them said to me "Taff, I'd give my right arm to have a debate about shirt colour - all we talk about is survival! up here" - it just put a different slant on things for me!!!

The thing many of you forget is the pre scam hamam days, when we would always finish above you. I saw my first game as a kid in 1979/80 I have no doubt we have finished above you more times than you have us in the years that have followed. And to be fair older cardiff fans could go back further and put a different argument but for me I have had more years of being the best side in South wales than not, I have seen us top the league beat the big boys and win the worlds richest game. Also experienced the dark days, which makes the good times so special.

What utter nonsense!!!

We have the potential to do a Rangers wether we are in blue or red. The fact we pay average players like Kenny Miller 25k a week will be our downfall, and a red kit isnt going to change that.
