Sorry Karl I hadn't read the whole thread. Funnily enough about 10 mins ago my dad gave me the echo and said I think this is the best badge - it was your design and first time id seen it. I think it's brilliant and hope Carl takes it to the board as part of his campaign. Good work fella

I really hope it's gets seen by all on here and gives us something to unite with. No doubt it won't please everybody but I reckon most will recognise how good it is and with momentum i hope it gets through to the powers that be. Let's hope you become a legend!

haha naa...but cant agree more. i am completely opposed to "that new thing" as it doesnt represent cardiff city imo. Karl's design is a real compromise, something even us traditionalist could accept. would still prefer the old bluebirds crest, but if Karl's design gets the nod, I can live with it. the bluebird is in the centre of attention, with a bigger dragon looking over it. btw i prefer the 3rd crest with the spikes at the back.

wouldnt say many, but there are a few. some are from cardiff and settled in Germany but also some are german born and bred (like me) and just chose CCFC as their club

I have e-mailed the club to ask if it is too late to have some input from the fans, as we have had none so far, and could they look at this design because it is the best compromise badge that has been produced so far.

We can't have the appalling effort that has been forced on us as our badge for the foreseeable future.

Thanks Hofmeister for Posting my logo here.. Ive seen one of the comments about it looking like chelsea logo a bit.. And thinking about it, yes it actually does even tho that was never the intention. The outer ring was originally just red, but after finishing it i decided it needed more blue and so it is as you see it now.. I guess it now shows the transition from the bluebirds to the new colours.. but as hard as it is to us city fans, it also shows blue and red working side by side.

The Logo has been printed in the south wales echo today along with 4 others.

the readup for my logo is : among the pick of the latest badges sent to the echo is a stunning circular design featuring a fire-breathing Welsh dragon and bluebird designed by Karl Payne.

I think if we are looking for a compromise we may not get Karls badge through with the top of the circle being in blue. The club may go for it with a completely red circle as it ties in with their rebranding.

Perhaps a full red circle but with the spikes on the dragons neck.

That one is alright. Wrong colour blue though.

I'm more interested in City's strip for next season.i would like to see it modeled on something like the Barcelona strip,incorporating red and blue

The badge is not the entire jersey and people add blue to their designs because its what the people want. Simple.

The designs were done last June, when all us city fans wanted to keep blue.. Mine was just a draft that ended up in the echo and on here.. It has blue because its what we wanted to keep. Can't believe it's been 8 months since creating this badge.

Totally agree, Karl's is awesome

For me its between the winning one from the vote or this one (middle 2) that i saw on twitter a few days ago as they are more keeping with our traditional crest. If it's a possiblity then I would hate to lose our old identity completely even if it was for a lovely new modern looking design
