I've got to agree to be honest. This racial abuse was absolutely disgusting and it reflects badly upon us all just for associating with someone who'd say things like that and then spread lies to try and make themselves appear innocent

i keep seeing these words, "racial abuse"

can anyone name the so called racists
or point MOD'S in the direction of the quotes they have supposedly made, then we can see whats done

If any abuse was made then that surely has to lay on the responsibility of the moderators and yes I agree whoever it was should be banned.

The racist comments and personal insults to VT specifically and to the Malaysians generally are inexcusable but I'm sure as intelligent men they understand that you will always get a handful of idiots unable to express themselves in a civilised manner. They will also understand that these people are in a very small minority. It wouldn't make sense to abandon their ideas based on the insults of a handful of numbskulls.

2. I was appalled initially at the thought of losing our nickname of the Bluebirds and our blue strip but over the last 24 hours or so had come around to the idea simply because of the promised £100m. Reading the comments on the forums it seems that a lot of other fans had gone through the same process. I was hopeful that perhaps a compromise could be found to at least keep the Bluebird.

3. TG has made a statement which on the face of it withdraws the proposed investment and keeps the status quo regarding the kit and the Bluebird although now we are being told that he is coming over for talks.

4. None of this has been handled very well and there are lessons to be learned by all parties but we as fans have to get the message over to TG and VT that we are prepared to talk and we are prepared to listen to what they have to say. If they are serious about the £100m we have to listen but we are also entitled to put forward our point of view regarding the things that are so precious to us. There has to be a middle ground. There has to be a way forward.

5. It doesn't help when some "more prominent fans" openly declare that they don't trust the Malaysians, who to be honest have always acted with honesty and integrity. The person who leaked this news before TG had a chance to outline the plans to us has a lot to answer for.

6. Let's hope we can persuade the Malaysian investors that most of us are reasonable and well mannered people like themselves. I'm sure this can be worked out but how can we best get this message across to them?

But there weren't that many reasonable people coming out and expressing their views over the last few days and this gave the impression that the vast majority were supporting the agenda being peddled here.

though i was never pro-red i could see the bigger picture and the importance of investment and how with the new financial fair play rules it makes it harder for owners to just bank roll a clubs
also the need that if the idea of re-branding was to be protested against and agreed by a majority that it should be done properly.

I think that the people in charge need to take the blame for that. Yesterday it was almost encouraged that people make millions of threads shouting down the pro Malaysian people while praising some of the posters that were abusing us.

Initially it was 99% against but there was a definite softening in the last 24 hours. Most people now would probably agree to a pink shirt for the £100m. We need to talk and find some common ground. It is not impossible but we need to get this message over to them. Most people based their views on the rumours that were coming out including a red stadium and name change. Things have now calmed down and we need to be given another chance to show them that we are open to change if it's for the long term benefit of Cardiff City FC.

The police should be brought in for the racist stuff!

If you make a complaint to them under the Equalities Act 2010 I think they are obligated to investigate, even though the comments were directed at yourself if they have caused harm or offence you have that right

First post on here in a while and it's a shame it's bout this topic.

Do I want us to go red? No. Do I want Cardiff city to get £100mil of investment? Heck ye.

I'd rather us go red than not exist at all. I remember reading some coments on the other board, it's bewildering. Comments such as, I'd rather be in the conference than go red, utterly stupid comments.

All I want is the best for my club, if that means rebranding then fine so be it. Like another comment on the other board said, "I support the club not the colour".

Yes!

No its not the message board its some of the minority idiots that caused this.
But lessons need be learnt by message board.
I suggest a warning put up any racist or offensive remarks will lead to prosecution and moderator then need to report it.
One or two prosecutions later and problem will be gone.

VERY good point

I will not use racist comments against anyone. It is not big and it is not clever.

However, if somebody says they are going to change the colours of my club and the badge etc then I am happy to personally insult them just as they insulted me. I don't care if they are rich or if they are a bum from Bristol. My values tell me to defend myself and what I believe in. If someone wants to take my Cardiff away then I will think that they are a horrible people and I will happily tell them this. Sorry if it upsets the bum-lickers. I am dead set against racism and threatening people's family though.

I thought Sam was mad for wanting to replace our club with a copy of Celtic for the taffys. I told him so at the meeting at Ninian Park before he took over.

Say no to racism but don't deny your feelings. Stick up for what you believe in. Appeasement made Neville Chamberlain look like a knob and the Nazis never had their way. I thought Hitler was a wanker. I think anyone wanting to replace our club with something else is a wanker too. Long after Tan has gone I will be down the City watching the Bluebirds playing in blue with my head held high. I really wouldn't care if it was in the fourth division as I am a City supporter no matter who we are playing.
