Today I lost 1 of my child hood heroes, the man who got me addicted to football and watching city, but also someone who became a good friend of mine. My thoughts r with Marlene . Rest in peace mate. Goin to miss you

R.I.P Eddie, condolances to his family and all his friends

I am stunned saddened and shocked. I knew his Wife wasn't well but this is awful. He in my opinion was City's best ever Manager with the resources ETC. He was and is and forever more will be Mr Cardiff City. Thanks for the memories Eddie from one very sad Cardiff City fan tonight. Tuesday will be very emotional indeed.

Very sad.
Loved Eddie May. Great days under him. i was playing semi pro myself at the time and after getting injured started watching city again. After i was fit i told the manager i would be out for the rest of the season just to watch the city.Never went back again.

Eddie May RIP. 1943 - 2012 It's been confirmed that former Cardiff City manager Eddie May has died. The man who led City to the old 4th Division title in 1993 passed away in his sleep today... CCFC

Shocked and saddened by this news, just mentioned to to the wife " Eddie May has died" and she said " What, Eddie, Eddie Eddie May?" (she' only been to about 3 games in her life all of them back in the 90's when Eddie was in charge). Best times ever to follow City when Eddie was in charge. RIP Big Man.

Just got in from Barnsley and bouncing after 3 very good points and my Mrs said you know whose died don't you????? I wasn't expected the name that followed....... Eddie May absolutely shocked and devastated had some great times being part of Eddie Mays Barmy Army and promotion at Scunthorpe will live in my memory forever.
