Anthony I am very sorry about this, only a minority follow these damaging and nasty updates.
Most the fans love you and I hope you realise this too mate, youre a top man and one of my favourite ever players, never forget half time at Watford

cardiff city forum my arse, our players read this and it full of snipers draggin people through the mud, accusations, heresay. Anthony gerard has shown more passion for our club than most .. He was one of our best defenders in my eyes before Dave Moans sent him to hull. people accuse him of having a big ego yet it is you judging him with your egos.. f**k the snipers mate. I remember you on your own on the pitch having a warm down after a game or maybe warming up at half time i cant remember exactly , think it was bristol in the cup and you ran down the touchline smiling at us and jeering the away fans, the tears you shed at wembley, to me says your one of ours, down to earth an up for the crack.. top man AG

This is why people shouldn't post shit like this on here! What's the point causing speculation and saying I'm going to wait untill the end of season!
Thu Apr 05, 2012 6:01 am
I dont think it'll be Gerrard if he's arguing with Jacks on Twitter. If it was him and his days at club were numbered he'd probably be agreeing with all the Anti-Cardiff posts from the Jacks not arguing with them.
Thu Apr 05, 2012 6:45 am
We have 6 games to go and this shit gets posted totally out of order talking about conways personal stuff. No need for it, why do it, what's the point? Have a little bit of respect for the club.

Paul Quinn is another who hasnt featured much so could be him but at the mo he has his leg in plaster so maybe not ....... Naylor or Darcy maybe ??

No names have been said at all regarding this, your the one hear naming him, Carl has not even hinted at any individual player.

Best bet is to ignore future updates.

Has any consideration been given to removing the thread or at least the parts concerning the two players. The update stands up well WITHOUT the bit about Conway and A. N. Other.
May be a good gesture.

Over all this update is very positive and shows our future is a bright one, even if we fail this season, next one will be even better.

Thanks for another interesting update Carl and I'm sure we all wish TG & VT the best of luck with thier attempts to bring the Langstone and PMG debts to a conclusion. Also the fact they are intent on converting the monies they have used to support the club to this point into shares suggests to me they are very much in for the long run which is great news for everyone.
I'm also pleased to hear that Neil Cox will be joining the coaching staff as I believe this will be another excellent addition to MM backroom team. Out of interest do you know if the cost of MM and his backroom team will still be less than the cost of DJ and his backroom team?
Given the problems we have had in recent seasons with players and their "Personal Problems" I'm really pleased to hear that one of our players is not only facing up to the problem but is being supported by the club. At the end of the day we should all accept that our players are human and face the same challenges as the rest of us and from time to time they may make mistakes, but that just makes them human and facing up to the problem , whatever it is, well I wish them all the best in their attempts to overcome them.
It never ceases to amaze me at the reaction from some posters whenever you mention issues with players, afterall you were spot on with everything about Chopra and lets face it there is a man who is really struggling to get on top of the issues in his life. As regards a player who may have fallen out with the manager, well this happens at every club in the past, today and in the future and the fact it's discussed on a messageboard will have no effect whatsoever on the cause or the outcome.
We should all agree that MM has done a remarkable job on taking a new squad of players and getting a real sense of togetherness in the group. If there are players who risk that togetherness, and it happens at all clubs, then they will move on and I'm sure you will be with me and the majority of fans in supporting MM in any decision he makesin this regard. Whoever the player is.
I look forward to hearing the full story when the season is over and to further updates regarding the players who will be released and of course the players we are targeting.
Keep up the good work Carl I think your updates are excellent.

Lifting the debt is one think , having a manger that is able to spend and attract the best players is quite another and it's not hard to better than this season , really is it . The football since Christmas has been dire ,even if we do limp into the playoff's we're not going to win them , hell we can'y score and can't win a match.
Also if we do open up the bank book, then that is just all new debt for the Club, who after all can't make a profit with 15k plus season tickets holders and a decent Cup run
Malky needs to prove to me he's the man in the next few games , I getting bored of work ethic and 1 up front load of crap . Sort it out Malky or shipout

Manchester City didn't buy work ethic, they bought anything that moved, and now they have individuals and not a team.
Leicester didn't buy work ethic they paid a lot of money for a manager, and players who didn't deliver, and where are they.
West ham didn't buy work ethic, they bought anybody to stop any one else having them, and now they have to go into the lottery and I don't think they will make it.
Notts Forest didn't buy work ethic, and now they are down in the relegation zone.
I don't think I need to say any more.

its not carl,s fault if people want to speculate who it is.some good news about the club for ccfc fans.the future looks decent for you.perhaps it explains why they havn,t done loads of dollar in so far.the money may be needed for the debt.if so wipe the slate clean, learn from the past mistakes(mm very prudent)and your in with a shout.if you look what the club has had to sort out behind the scenes i,d say your season will not look so bad.in fact it,s been great considering.

Annis,
Do you think it's acceptable for Craig Conway's name to be put out in this update and saying he's experiencing personal problems? What positive effect can that have for anyone?
Secondly, what did you/Carl think would happen when you say a player has had a falling out with Malky. Did you think that everyone would just say ok, let's wait till the end of the season. Or did you think it would just fire up a load of speculation. Surely the later is the obvious choice.
Genuinely interested in what you think releasing these two points has achieved?
Thanks

Oh God what is this crap ....
Looking over West Ham are way above us and have far more of a chance of going up than us. I love the way you've quite conveniently left out the likes of Reading, Blackpool and brum. It's getting to the stage Malky could buy a breeze block and you lot would praise it and give this load of tosh in 'Malky We Trust' .
We need class not just work ehtic , its all about getting the ball in the back of the net and we're utterly inept in that dept of late, with a Striker who's goal to game ratio is sh8t (more so given his wage bill)

Why post negative stuff at this time of the season, doesn't make sense to me

I can see mate, but I was the one that got a lot of grief about how we poor over Christmas . I could see the signs there and then
We've been utter rubbish and Miller is a joke and instead of talking action and trying to change the formation . Malky still plays that 1 up front , still loves to play Miller and to me its just not good enough in must win games . We need to take risks now and while I think Earnie is way past it, maybe give him and Joy a chance up front .
Something, anything other than the dire crap we've been trying of late .

I agree with this. If I was Conway I'd be very unhappy. Just because you have information about something it doesn't mean you have to share it with the world.
Hopefully Carl, if you ever experience any personal issues and confide in a friend, it won't end up on an internet message board.
the club/player may have agreed to put this out.they may not of done.carl didn,t state the nature of his problem.that and its treatment were posted by someone else.

agree
its all very well having work ethic etc.. but you still need that bit of quality as well. one moment of quality can bring a goal and goals win games... running around chasing the ball for 90 mins is great if you have a mr motivator dvd but offers nothing towards winning the game...

The fact is the two issues were put out when really they should not have. Had they not everyone would have read the update and that would have been that. Other than increased readership of the update thread what was the point. My opinion is that yet again such comments and inclusions in the update thread are nothing less than negative and hinder the club. As a fan of almost 60 years I deplore them and they should stop NOW, they are causing no end of damage.

I can see both sides of peoples views on this update, but for what it is worth my views on the players only is -
Carl has not named the player who has fallen out with MM - Carl has just reported an incident - PEOPLE ON HERE HAVE NAMED NAMES...
As for C.Conway would i be happy if people knew i had personal problems - if that was me i would not be happy...but what Carl has posted is why/what the answer is to why MM has not picked Conway of late.
Again who said he had gambling problems

- Not Carl.
What should have happened is the club or player/manager come out with the reasons at the time, instead both Carl and MM have had questions asked about them of late...
