I remember when we played Liverpool in the Carling Cup in 2007
We were so desperate for tickets
Lots of us bought tickets in the home end at Anfield
and I remeber the threads on here complaining about it
saying what harm were we doing
just trying to watch a game
Anfield shouldnt have sold us the tickets
Stewards shouldnt have thrown us out
It seems your happy to break the moral code on whos tickets belong to who when it suits you
but when it effects you you moan like little children
Simple fact is this Liverpool fan got his tickets from a City fan so if you want to blame someone for this blame the City fan

That's a fair point but you can't really compare a cup final that both sets of fans are desperate to attend and a run of the mill league cup game that Liverpool fans wouldn't really be bothered about.

I don't think Liverpool fans should be attacked though. I'm not really into violence. I would wound them with my rapier-like wit and a round of "we support our local team".

I agree the cup final is a more important game than one of the games in the rounds
but its still a football game and the principle still stands
If you cant get a ticket dont go or run the risk of sitting in the oppositions end
weve done it
we did it at Liverpool
There were rumours of fans sitting in the home end of Upton Park for our first game of the season
Now if its acceptable for us to do it
then you cant really complain when your on the wrong side of it.

To be fair though had one of us had a slap in the games u mention after celebratin in the home end we wouldnt hav gone cryin to the echo

well i agree going to the echo was a bit extreme
but from what he wrote I believe he went to watch the game in good faith and did his part to try and not out himself as a Liverpool fan
Yes he celebrated when they scored, but we are all football fans and we all know how hard it is to keep your emotions in check when our team scores.
Though I stand on the fact that if you want to blame someone blame the City fan who gave this man his tickets

Jonny.......You dont get the point do you. If you go in someone Else's end you do so at your own risk. And you certainly dont go bleating like a girl afterwards if it goes pair shaped. He got what he deserved. If i was in the Liverpool end the one brain cell that's remaining would tell me to shut the f**k up

no I understand it what I dont understand is when we do it we stand there as if its our God given right to be there and if the
home fans dont like it tough and we will blame everything and everyone except ourselves for letting us sit in the home end and when we get kicked out we kick and scream like little girls over the injustice of it.
But when and God forbid the roles are reversed we kick and scream again using the excuses you complained about when you were getting kicked out of an oppositions end.
What goes around comes around if we are happy to do it you cant really complain when it happens to you

LOL :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
but there is one way to resolve this issue
if our fans would stop selling our tickets to opposition supporters we wouldnt have this problem
this Liverpool fan only got a ticket because a City fan gave him one
so who do you blame
personally id blame the City fan because if he didnt need that many tickets why did he buy them and why did he give them to a Liverpool fan

Felt like my heart had been ripped out when they scored. No wonder somebody had a go at him. He was being arrogant thinking he could celebrate a goal in our end so f**k him. If he was a true fan he'd be in the Liverpool end. Wouldn't take my teenage daughter into an away end and celebrate when we score. Needs to look at himself. :ayatollah:

Richard Clark i was sat 4 rows behind him, Seriously what did he expect jumping up when they scored a handshake and a tap on the back ? he`s a idiot & very irresponsible taking his son in the cardiff end when he`s supporting the bin dippers. no sympathy at all for him whatsoever. i did feel very sorry for his son, but he should`nt be there in the first place. who`s the greedy season ticket holder that sold him the tickets ?

Stephen Ieuan Jones Might decide to go in the Bristol City end to avoid the voucher exchange system, do you think the Bristol fans will be ok with me if i celebrate when Cardiff score. If i get abused and asked to leave, i will write into the local news paper and vent my frustration.

Paul Trev Jones Totally agree Clarky..... he must have heard that we were family club of the year and thought it would be ok!! The morale is if you go in the wrong end sit on your hands...... and don't take your kid with you!! Anyway what I want to know is where is Johnny Skids? I've just beaten his highest score on commando!!!

My view is that he should not have been in that area however technically he did get the tickets legally as eligible Cardiff fans got them and gave them to him in good faith. Now the difference to this chap and myself is that when I go in the home end which I have done many times even at Swansea back in the 90's he didnt keep his mouth shut and paid the price. As many fans have said this isnt rugby and he was slightly naive if he thought we wouldnt react. However I must say some of the reaction of fans have been disappointing on this forum nobody deserves slaps and punches especially if his lad was with him sadly I wish sometimes we could be more like rugby in this respect. IMO

I've been in home end on several occasions at away games (Cheltenham, Brizzle Rovers-twerton & memorial, Swindon). Celebrated at Swindon as i was with several other CCFC fans. Had no trouble as it was in family enclosure. At the other games i was with the more volatile sections of the home crowd so i kept my hands in my pockets and politely applauded home teams goals. When CCFC scored i kept my gob shut and had no trouble.

However, to all those others who were sitting behind us in Block 542, may you hang your heads in shame at bullying a 50-year-old man and his 15-year-old son out of their seats on what should have been a memorable occasion for all concerned.

All those sitting behind him in 542 should hang their heads in shame eh? Don't think he remembers the group of girls near him stopping him from getting a battering.

Ian Sheppard The Guy who got him the tickets should have his season ticket revoked. This could of caused a right ruckus then who would of been to blame heaping unwanted attention on the family club of the year.

Stephen Barrett Why did Liverpool have the entire middle teir, what did they expect having Cardiff fans above and below them. The FA must have know about this. Its not just one or two but hundreds in the middle of us.

Yes he was in the wrong area but seriously why resort to violence when we've been trying to get rid of that tag and especially why do it when he had a kid sat right there with him? Thats just not right.

To be fair I know a good few of your lads, I didn't jump around like a dickhead just a little fist pump.. Nothing disrespectful...I've sat in 'away' ends at plenty of grounds and find that people tend to get onto you pretty quick, there were Reds sat around me openly wearing colours who also had no bother including a well known actor, I suppose it depends on the fans around you, all City fans I spoke too all day were sound though, I think there maybe a few though who try a bit too hard too live up to your reputation.
