Some interesting comments from Carl. However, does anyone get the feeling the club maybe using Carl to put a positive spin on things? I'm not suggesting that Carl does not receive genuine information from cLub sources, just that those sources maybe feeding slightly misleading comments to exaggerate the extent of the Malaysian commitment.

By the way, I hope this is not the case, as I have been hugely impressed with the way the Malaysians have stuck with us and backed us since the Blackpool play off defeat. I want to believe but with our history some level of cynicism and suspicion is inevitable.

Fingers crossed Malky has got the cash and he'll pull a couple rabbits out the hat.

I still believe!!!!

Have a think, yes we bid up to £4.2m but why oh why would you try and spend that then on players that wouldn't be yours at the end of it??? That makes horrendous business sense?

I'd rather the club sign no loans and put that £4.2m into players in the summer.

Totally agree with you. The problem is nowadays is that fans think the answer to everything is "spend more money". What the hell happened to coaching? Thankfully I reckon Malky can get us out of this little slump we are in, without having to go out and get loans in.
Obviously a few extra pairs of legs in the squad will help but we are a decent team as it is, and we'll start getting results again soon :ayatollah:

Positive alerts, Positive alerts! :D :ayatollah:

I'd stick with what we have.

i dont think we can, any more injuries or suspensions and we will be down to the bare bones. borini went on loan to swansea and fitted in well, did the job contributed to the promotion and then went abroad.

i dont see why we cant bring in 2 players etc. it will be a great asset to the club.

Yeah couldn't agree more there. We also have academy players that we can surely filter into the squad? People like Jesse Darko not worth a little go off the bench? Kadeem Harris not worth a run out?

Re: "WHERE ARE THE LOAN PLAYERS ?"

We have gone off the boil a bit, but this season was always about re-building. Just as importantly, we have not lost anybody either. Mid table this season will be OK. Then strengthen in the summer. Clear out some of the dead wood too.

Bit worried about being embarrassed on Sunday. Losing three of the last four league games will not have done confidence any good. A hiding won't help. Glad when the Carling Cup is over. Get back to league games, the important stuff.

As for loan signings, we had plenty last year. Look where that got us.

Keep up at the back, the chairman came back to UK late on deadline day.

As poyet said it was the toughest time they had trying to keep a player.

We have brought in two players, Vuckic, and Harris. I'm sure one or two more will follow, IF the right ones become available.

Yes, you do. Malky has done several interviews outlining his recruitment policy.

And what about the Malaysians pushing for more signings?

Because many people feel that they are not backing Malky 100%.

Which is, as you're clearly aware, complete bullshit - as you've clearly stated, and as is indeed common knowledge, "The Malaysians have invested £36million... Bids of nearly £5m in January..." - if that's not backing I'd happily be "not backed", thank you very much.

I'm more disappointed that you felt the need to ask the question in the opening title when it's so blatantly obvious from all that you've posted that it just isn't that simple. There are so many factors that affect the signings of players - as you repeatedly state - that it's not a case of TG & VT saying "You, go spend some money now".

It's also disappointing that you feel the need to rise to the people who are saying "not news".
Evidently it is to many because people are still thick enough to claim that the Malaysians are not backing Malky.

No but it's obvious these negotiations were going on for weeks. The deal was all but done them the chairman pulled the plug at the last minute. Well that's what poyet and MM comment suggest anyway.

Re: "WHERE ARE THE LOAN PLAYERS ?"

Tue Feb 21, 2012 11:12 pm

I appreciate that Malky is a young manager in what is really his first "big" job and I think that overall it's difficult to be too critical of what he's done so far but is this perhaps a case of his inexperience showing?

Is he perhaps not confident that he can handle "name" players or players who are slightly "difficult"?

Is he more comfortable dealing with a certain type of player to the total exclusion of all others? If that's the case he'll always be fighting with one hand tied behind his back.

I think that as a manager he has a great deal of potential but perhaps at the moment he's not quite got the experience and confidence in himself that he needs.

I don't want this to seem in any way a criticism but more an objective appraisal of where our manager is right now.

It certainly seems that despite the insinuations that have been seen recently, including on this board, that Malky is not being backed by the Malaysians, the truth is that our apparent lack of signings either permanently or on loan, is due mainly to decisions made by the manager and it will be on the basis of those decisions that the outcome of our season will rest.

Hopefully we can now put to bed any more speculation or insinuation that Malky is not being fully backed by the Malaysians.

I have to say that this update gives clear info on MALASIANS support . £36 MILLION and people after seeing pompey and rangers hit the low want us to spend millions on players - lets be grateful that we have a club and Wembley final

Thanks Carl for reassurance that Malasians are bankrollling us - changed my opinion about support they are giving - ITS not Carls fault we aint signed anyone - always shooting the messenger :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Nice post Carl!!! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Surely after a detailed update from Carl regarding the Malaysians now
OBVIOUS commitment to Cardiff City Football Club...

Is it not time one of the one post wonders, or Angry Gran, MG or Daya came online
as themselves and posted a detailed rebuttal.....????

Give us facts and figures****** fellers of where when and how Mr Tan has let Cardiff City
down, sold us down the river, failed to deliver etc etc????????

Or will you please finally f**k off. Please?

Bluebirds1977, dunno how old you are but it takes a big man to admit
he's wrong. Your clutching at straws on this thread desperate to discredit
ANY positive news about them too. Cant figure you out. But i'll get over it!!

***** By the way, we already know that Vincent Tan pumped
millions into Cardiff City, the World renowned Football Club, just so it would convince
tens of millions of diehard Cardiff City fans over there to vote for his mate

i still didnt know that tan and co. were on his backs about transfers, most people on here speculated that the money was never there and was some kind of smokescreen etc..

its either one or the other,It would be the same as saying MM has nothing to spend and the owners are making this up to keep the peace, who knows i do not get it if MM had a open bank then why has hardly anybody come in.
carl only posts what SB tells him anyway :ayatollah:

If Carl had posted

"The bids were fake, there is no money!"

You would have 100% backed his update and you know it. There would have been no
mention of SB then!!!

I take my hat off to MM shrewd & cautious stance towards transfers, be them loan or otherwise. After all, its not his money he's spending, & i think its fair to say that our club has had more than its fair share of "dodgy" transfers in the recent past, both in & out!

Carl

i knew the dissapointment by certain people in the club when the deals went tits up in the last few hours. these people were working flat out to arrange money transfers etc and all felt the frustration the same as malky and the rest of us.
36 million invested to date and rising each month.
did people not see the genuine joy of VT and TG on the pitch after the semi final win over palace.
The truth of the matter is that they both want new blood in the same as we do but they have employed a manager to do that job so we should all let him get on with it.
