Have a think, yes we bid up to £4.2m but why oh why would you try and spend that then on players that wouldn't be yours at the end of it??? That makes horrendous business sense?
I'd rather the club sign no loans and put that £4.2m into players in the summer.
Totally agree with you. The problem is nowadays is that fans think the answer to everything is "spend more money". What the hell happened to coaching? Thankfully I reckon Malky can get us out of this little slump we are in, without having to go out and get loans in.
Obviously a few extra pairs of legs in the squad will help but we are a decent team as it is, and we'll start getting results again soon

I don't like the idea of them pressurising him into making loans though, the wrong loans could have a massively negative effect on the club.
Well thats the only option we got now to late for anything else
I'd stick with what we have.

The club made genuine offers and the bank details had been received from both Brighton and Watford to accept the payment for both of these players.

i dont think we can, any more injuries or suspensions and we will be down to the bare bones. borini went on loan to swansea and fitted in well, did the job contributed to the promotion and then went abroad.
i dont see why we cant bring in 2 players etc. it will be a great asset to the club.

Keep up at the back, the chairman came back to UK late on deadline day.
As poyet said it was the toughest time they had trying to keep a player.

We have brought in two players, Vuckic, and Harris. I'm sure one or two more will follow, IF the right ones become available.

Yes, you do. Malky has done several interviews outlining his recruitment policy.
And what about the Malaysians pushing for more signings?
Because many people feel that they are not backing Malky 100%.

So we made an offer and their response was "no one is around right now, but here's our bank account number and sort code and we'll get back to you"?

i still didnt know that tan and co. were on his backs about transfers, most people on here speculated that the money was never there and was some kind of smokescreen etc..
its either one or the other,It would be the same as saying MM has nothing to spend and the owners are making this up to keep the peace, who knows i do not get it if MM had a open bank then why has hardly anybody come in.
carl only posts what SB tells him anyway

And there was me thinking that many were claiming it was bullshit bidding and the Malaysians were not backing Malky. I wish someone else in the know had posted this little bit of info as it would have saved me the trouble.
