What a load of bollocks,I'm not a season ticket holder because I can't go to all the games. I've been to all the carling cup matches though, when only 6,000 odd turned up for the Huddersfield game. TOTAL BOLLOCKS

yeah that equals over 35,000 do the maths blazing saddles, impossible for them to do that cus even season ticket holders will miss out..

Season ticket x 1

Preimer club x 2

Who ever renews get a extra ticket but only give a week deadline

take it up to 28,000 i expect

3,000 given to each away member and stadium card holder x 1

if get extra 4,000 go on general sale and everybody can fight it out for extra tickets

You don't KNOW that, mate. The people we might take may be in EXACTLY the same position as YOU ;)

In my own case, I would take along the person who accompanied me to EVERY League Cup game this season whilst many 'regulars' gave it a wide berth until the Palace games. Would THAT be a FAIR thing to do even though they cannot get to too many Championship matches for exceptionally personal reasons?? :?:

At the end of the day, there is NO totally fair way of distributing tickets for this game and we had the same arguments for the FA Cup and Play-off games in the recent past and to be honest there are bound to be a lot of disappointed people

However, I would just state this:

At the START of the season EVERYONE knew what the score was. Buy a Season Ticket and you were GUARANTEED certain things, i.e. your seat for every league game, your seat/tickets for every cup game (FA Cup or League Cup) and priority tickets for away games. We ALL knew that and made our choices accordingly and the Season ticket Holders are about to be rewarded for their investment. Harsh (now we are in a final) but true

Finally, I leave you with a thought:

If there are 31,000 tickets available for Wembely and every ticket will be sold 'as fast as they can be printed' then how come(as superb a crowd it was mind ;) ) that we weren't 'sold out' last night or any other night??

I think I have a point but I am sure some will correct me ;)

How many 'Platinum Ambassadors' are there?? :ayatollah:

Would it be mathematically possible to give the Premier and Platinum Season Ticket holders TWO tickets, other Season Ticket holders (inc. Half Season Ticket Holders) ONE ticket, whilst having enough to sate the 'regulars' that are (for lots of reasons) NOT Season Ticket holders at all?? :ayatollah:

Re: " WEMBLEY TICKETS "

My take on this.
Season ticket holders should get one ticket.
If season ticket holder also booked minimum of 2 carling cup games extra ticket
Then non season ticket holders who went to 2 or more carling cup games 1 ticket
Then any left to fans who went to one carling cup game
Then open season
Carling cup fans that went to home or away counted in as away fans are an important part of where we are now

Just my opinion which seems a fair allocation method

Why? because season ticket holders contribute to club
members St or not that went to 2 carling cup games contributed.

We need people in future to
1, pledge money to season tickets
2, to pay extra to support team in cup games

Not just jump on band wagon when we go to Wembley.
I can not afford a season ticket, but i love my team and go without other things to get one. Then i pay extra for Cup games.
Its hard but so worth it.

Don't believe everything you read on' Facebook' mate. According to that site we'll probably be taking 75,000 fans (the same number that attended Ninian Park in the really 'dark' days of 15 - 20 years ago  ) if they are to be believed. People are already on a 'wind up' and I remind you NO tickets have gone on sale as we only knew our opponents a few minutes ago!!

I agree with you on the numbers thing for earlier rounds and other games; as if we have 19,500 Season Ticket holders then that means we have an average of around 3,000 'walk-up' fans for each game (not exact numbers, I admit ;) )

(also, please no "woman don't belong at football" posts - being male or female doesn't decide how much of a fan you are).
I know there is the chance of her being able to get one if they go on general sale or whatever, but that would cause issues in terms of where we're sitting and stuff.

Remeber we also need new people, i was new once and well and truly hooked.
My son is 3 years old, he cries if i do not take him, which was in the night games, now he goes to all.
He got home at 11:45 the other night, and sung which is more than some adults do ( okay so i have been teaching him)
He has been a season ticket holder for 3 years, but like all of us he had a first game.
What i do not want to see is new people go to wembley who never come again, but if someone get the bug and joins as a new season ticket holder its good business for our club.
But firstly we have those that have contributed by paying for season tickets and i do not care how much they paid as some rich buisiness people may pay £700 a year on a salary of £80000 but someone else struggles pays £400 on £25000 both are equal fans but one struggles to do it one finds it easy.
Then cup games, some fans turn up, some season ticket holders turn up, but not all.
lets reward those who do.
So then if your a season ticket holder, and /or turned up for atleast 2 carling cup games your getting tickets.
Do those that just turned up last night really think they should be at the top for tickets.

:ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

its not the fact that because we are not season ticket holders we shouldnt be entitled to a ticket, but the arguement is vice versa, why should you get 2 tickets with a season ticket, when its only you who owns your season ticket, not two of you.

i will be gutted if i miss out on a ticket, anyone would, but its the fact that its a 90,000 seater stadium. we only get 31,000 tickets, as we all know with many of our recent success's people WILL buy a season ticket just to attend a BIG game and then not show up to the regular games, hency why most proberbly last night wasnt a sell out and maybe some people had personal reasons as to why they couldnt go.

the bad thing about last night in which is a counter to your thought as to last night wasnt sold out, not that people "just showed up to the palace game" but as to why they waited until AFTER our first leg to get their tickets, i ordered my tickets for the semi's the day they came on sale.

i suppose if your fortunate to have a job, and enough money to be able to afford a season ticket, and to get to every game then your high and mighty above the rest, agreed that you deserve first come first serve basis, HOWEVER, as many on this topic has stated, they think we're who dont own a season ticket dont deserve to get one either

Re: " WEMBLEY TICKETS "

Thu Jan 26, 2012 12:00 am

Thats why i say
If season ticket holder 1 ticket ( who ever you are)
If been too two carling cup games 1 ticket
So season ticket holders who been to one or less carling cup games 1 ticket
So season ticket holders who been to two carling cup fixtures get 2 tickets
Non season ticket holders been to two carling cup fixtures 1 ticket
then 1 cup game
then open season
Surely thats fair as those who supported most get most
but as numbers go those fans not season ticket holders but supported team in cup also get tickets.

We need to make sure we get support in future so when we play a lower division we get numbers there, not just when we play liverpool etc. reward those loyal fans that make an effort for every game they can. Some non season tiocket holders have been there when others have not in these cup games, they should be rewarded.
Then hopefully people will think twice about missing what looks like a nothing game next season.
Support is 24/7 not just when we go to Wembley

take it this is aimed at me the best way for me to go to games is midweek and if you read my post i said i was lucky enoug that i could go to all carling cup games and that season ticket holder should get the priority i could pay £400+ pound for a season ticket just incase we get a big game like this or a playoff final comes along or incase we get promoted or buy a half seaon ticket to get priority for wembly when i wont be there for most of the games. the main problem is there were only 6000 there with me at huddersifeld to watch a weak cardiff team in 2 round and there wernt much more against leicester and burnley now suddenly there are 19000+ season ticket holders who want tickets plus an extra ticket so they can take a family member with them where were they for theses early games

Re: " WEMBLEY TICKETS "

Thu Jan 26, 2012 12:06 am

the great ticket debate. :D

i should have one/two coz i spent money years ago
i should have one coz i hold a season ticket
i should have one coz i went last night and sat in a season ticket holders seat
i should have one coz i was one of 6k that turned up for the hudd's game
i should have one coz i got bought a half season ticket for the first time in my life
i should have once coz i cant go every-time but dedicated to go when i can once a month
bla
bla
bla
i could go on guys but i wont, its not meant to annoy anyone.

the fact of the matter is, we go to watch a football game, the people who front it are business men, they will do what they can to get revenue into their business,
RIGHT or WRONG ?
I believe then to be honorable and will stick by any word they have made or anyone has made to us previously, once them commitments are fulfilled it is their business that they wil sort out and to do that, its next season they will be looking too,
now how they do this i see it coming in one of two ways, offering up next years season tickets early to the ambbos and current ST holders
OR
more likely offering up a block of NEW season tickets for new members, bringing in new money not repeat money that they know their going to get anyway

with the second option being the one to create the most revenue, i can see it going along these lines

18k ST holders x 1 each =18000
500 - 600 premier seats (money talks people) x 4 each 2000 or 2400

thats 20k

were only allowed a percentage of tickets to be sold, having to hold back what i believe is 10% for walk ups
someone correct me if my figures are wrong but 10% of home fans of 22k approx 2k
we already have 18k so can only sell in theory (if my percentage and home fan numbers are spot on) an additional 2k

thats 22k sold
leaving 9k for other people who do not fall into the above category
so should that many be available to general public, of whom many could be just jumping on the party train. and end up grabbing two each and never been before.

or

should platto's (6k i think) be given 2 each, and then make sure ticket buyers (away members, stadium card holders, 3 then 2 then 1 cup tickets) get the remaining 3k

thus stopping the plastics getting hold of any ? (unless someone entitled gives them away)

take it this is aimed at me the best way for me to go to games is midweek and if you read my post i said i was lucky enoug that i could go to all carling cup games and that season ticket holder should get the priority i could pay £400+ pound for a season ticket just incase we get a big game like this or a playoff final comes along or incase we get promoted or buy a half seaon ticket to get priority for wembly when i wont be there for most of the games. the main problem is there were only 6000 there with me at huddersifeld to watch a weak cardiff team in 2 round and there wernt much more against leicester and burnley now suddenly there are 19000+ season ticket holders who want tickets plus an extra ticket so they can take a family member with them where were they for theses early games

Thats why my ideas seem fair
If you been too two cup matches you get a ticket.
But you gotta see the others opinions too
Season tickets are what pays for the club
But those supporting cup games deserve a bite too because without their support would we be here now?

Im just having a rant   its only right that season ticket holders get first choice and whetever happens ills till be going to games next season when i can its the fact that people couldnt be bothered to turn out in the early rounds to watch what most thought were going to be boring games suddenly cant wait because were at wembley playing liverpool
