Steve the Tea TM (c) wrote:"Drunken Liverpool fans charged down doors ... etc." Liverpool fans that day were neither drunk, nor did they charge down anything.

Seriously? You really believe that they weren't drunk, do you?

What drink got to do with anything I love getting pissed at away matches , but don't want, or look for trouble (most think the same I hope) not that I for one moment would think young kids were pissed out of their heads or that was to blame
This was Police screw up and the sad fact that all fans were caged in like Animals and the gates not opened when it was becoming clear there was an issue

I'll not excuse the behaver of small sections of any fans (because we got a few beauties of our own) but with proper policing and no barriers this would haven never happened at all . I think its quite sick for people to slur and tarnish all fans with the same brush. One would think you'll be singing from a different hymn sheet, if you lost of your own or loved ones at a Football ground

The fact that the policeman in charge said the Liverpool fans were drunk and that Steve the Tea said that they weren't drunk, a claim that he will find completely impossible to substantiate, given the drinking culture that exists among fans of the game in this country

I've been on enough away trips to know and see 1st hand how a Police chief will spin the truth to suite their needs, never mind 1st hand accounts from genuine fans one can trust . I've also been to enough games (even back in the day) to have seen that being pissed out of your skulls, does not lead to being crushed to death even back inthe day .

It was the gates and the actions the Chief Police man that caused so many to die that day. If it was 1 or 2 fans then Yes I would be more inclined to say it was their own fault and no doubt there were pissed ect. But when near enough 100 fans die , quite a lot of them kids, it' insulting to say to least to blame drink or the fans them self's and not blame the Gates that caged them in like animals or the police chief who lost control that day

I think you're just ripping the piss myself and looking to wind people up .

The policeman in charge also told the world that drunken ticketless fans charged
the gate and forced their way in.

The policeman in charge also got policemen on duty to change their statements where
it showed the South Yorkshire Police had lost the plot.

The policeman in charge also refused 40 ambulances permission to enter the ground

These ARE facts.
