The only people who have criticised you are selfish, childish and immature people from another place. They don't deserve to have someone as knowledgable and informative as your team are.

Perhaps the updates should change tact a little...We could have a Sunday column every week or fortnight if quiet where by Carl can put up an update called...something like..This weeks gossip....it will be the same as an update but at the start of it put something like...right this is this weeks gossip...all from this week and different sources...we are not saying it is FACT....It is on here for the members of the forum to hear the latest gossip surrounding our club...some of it will turn out to be accurate, some might not...but it is this weeks whispers about the City?

I think then that we still get the updates but nobody could dish them...I think its great to hear bits and bobs from the club, I hear bits myself sometimes, and the updates stopping would be a shame but to cover all bases and to stop the ridiculous bitchiness against Carl the Gossip column might be the answer?

I really hate coming on here seeing attacks on the Trust, the people who stick up for Gethin, the people who don't support Sam etc....but equally I hate going on Mikes board seeing Carl and Annis getting attacked....its all pathetic lads and I am just as guilty at times arguing with Dayo or Adam etc...we are all supposed to be grown ups and I wish we would all save our energy to unite against fans from other clubs who attack us rather than fight amongst ourselves.

I really think my idea is worth a go?

that would be a simple but great idea!! rather that "update" use the title "this weeks gossip", then know one can accuse or try to belittle both carl or annis if the so called gossip is wrong!!

Thanks for keeping us up to date Carl the majority of us on here love your updates it's just some people expect everything you write to be FACT when your just posting what you have been told

I got hooked on this forum because of Carls updates he puts his neck on the line a lot for us lot on here only to be shot down by some.I think even Carl gets frustrated with the info he is given sometimes but thats not his fault.

If Mackay has turned us down then our officials in charge of appointing the manager have not been made aware of it.

For the first time on this message board I am not going to pass on the info that I have been given but when the time is right I will and I apologise for the many people who enjoy what we do on here but my words would be to relax as I have been given confidence.

As a word of caution anything can happen in football, as we seen as recent as Tuesday, when Shearer looked dead cert to take the job but pulled out so I am not posting anything as fact likewise I have not with any other manager linked but some do seem unable to understand that.

At time of writing there are plans and time lines which are expected to go ahead as planned. Let's enjoy the rest of the evening and then enjoy the weekend which starts for me just a little after 3pm tomorrow when I finish work.

i think your all getting to carried away ...its a done deal just dotting the eyes crossing the t,s he knows its a good step up the managerial ladder he has the chance to create a new squad given that they have said they have money available something watford didnt give him if he does pull off promotion he will be a very sought after manager given the lack of squad he has been givenand the fact he has to do a major rebuild this will be his team and a good window for his managerial skills .....come on malky do the ayatollah \0/ /0\ \0/

joking aside i believe we will get an announcement tonight or tommorow im just a ordinary fan who wants the best for our club only have my own oppinion to give but common sense on all ive heard tells me he will sign. watford must have agreed compo with our board for them to let us speak with him he has previously stated a interest in our managerial post watford have failed to back him and seem to be selling his best players was shearer actually offered the job or was it the press speculating because it went on until such a late hour and even if shearer was malky would probably understand it was offered to shearer just on the fact of selling his name to the middle east not on his own managerial experiences or malky being second best given all these factors i dont think malky will take to much offence buisness is buisness..so i say malky do the ayatollah

Doubt that very much.

Often they announce the manager and several days later the backroom staff are announced

I never treat Carls updates as facts, but love reading them, as I love reading any gossip that I can about our club. I post on both messageboards with different user names and find the sniping at each other really tiresome.

I wish sometimes certain people just chilled out and enjoyed the (quite often) great debates that can be had on both messageboards.

I for one will be looking forward to reading Carls post later today, whether it's fact or not. Keep it up mate as you deserve top marks for your dedication alone.

I think the updates are great but i never take them as fact because anything can happen in football and especially at Cardiff City No one can be right 100% of the time and if other people just accepted this and stopped all the sniping and just accepted we are all City fans and all want whats best for the Club.

What i can't understand is if you don't believe the updates and just want to criticise and ridicule Carl then don't ready the bloody updates in the first place

I will echo what most people have said on here Carl.

I, like others, can't wait to read any bits of information you have regarding the club. It's great to have some sort of insight at what might be going on in the club we ALL love. There would be a lot more negativity on the messageboards if we didnt have any clue what was going on.

Please ignore the "boo boys" and keep providing us with the great updates next season.
