If he's not on his arse he's constantly whinging and moaning, he's also not as good as he'd like to think. Chopra is twice the player.

Ipswich have quite a resolute back line recently and I think it was tailor made for Parkin to come in and do a bit of bullying.

Yes Ipswich were relatively lucky but it goes down to the old adage of don't take your chances & you leave yourself open to a loss.

Jay lovers this is not a dig but as I say merley an observation. A game on the bench will do him no harm.

That is a good observation of one match, and really his performance since the injury, but before that he was class. It's a difficult decision for DJ to make. I think most managers stick with their top goal scorers and most influential players until they get back to their best rather than cast them aside, because they come good eventually.

It's a bit like Torres at Chelsea, and when Rooney went on his bad spell, they will come good. He needs a goal or two, if that early chance at Swansea had gone in, he probably would have had three or four more by now.

Good points blue although I wouldn't say my view was based on one game, yes that's how I saw that game but from what I read on here, in national media outlets & see from highlights it seems this was very much not a one off performance.

I agree managers usually stick by their best players but at what expense? His body language to me looks like a man who's head is elsewhere that's what I honestly feel. As I mentioned earlier 2 of our centre backs Matt Connolly & Kaspars Gorkks a part of the tightest defence in the country had 2 ropey games where we conceded 2 sloppy goals that could of been avoided maybe, next thing bang both dropped for Danny Shittu & Fitz Hall, result 3 games later 3 wins & 3 clean sheets. That is what you call a manager who's not afraid to make the big decisions.

The point I'm making is I feel Parkin could of done some damage & a spell on the bench for Jay would of given him the much needed kick up the arse he so clearly requires.

Problem is Parkin is playing very much to his limits - a lump who you can throw on to batter a defence. For me, he's too slow, his touch varies from great to utter shit. I don't believe he's the long term answer for Bothroyd, especially if we did go up.
