it seems to me we are all being judged on evidence that no one is willing to put into the public domain.
If you want to start charging £1 on every ticket for away games to cover damages you must produce some sort of proof that the so called damage took place.
I can see that mallo has indicated there was damage witnessed by himself so are there any others out there who witnessed similar events.

STEVE

TONT TIT IS THE PERSON SUGGESTING A 1 POUND SURCHARGE OR A DONATION

HES NOT A MEBER OF THE TRUST

I FECKING GIVE UP !!

Actually this whole thread was started by Mike from the trust who did suggest a pound surcharge, I personally don't agree with that approach but wouldn't criticise someone fro at least suggesting such a move, I just feel as others do you'd have some taking we pay so we destroy approach.

And sorry to say as for the Trust's anti social or behaviour thing, whilst it maybe set up with good intentions, can anyone see any of those responsible for such damage offering to give up their free time to sit down and watch such a presentation, the only people likely to watch such a presentation who wouldn't be likely to take part i such vandalism.

My personal view is we have bred a new batch of young fans who have not encountered peer pressure and think their behaviour is acceptable. Mallo had the correct approach, more of us older fans have to take responsibility.
This is one of the things we encouraged at the rams, and whilst it didn't stop all the problems it did make a massive improvement in the reduction of such behaviour, can you remember the fans charter we put together, we had over 8,000 signatures supporting our move to stop people throwing things on the pitch and causing damage that was directly affecting us the fans regular activities.

Being banned from pubs, services, having reduced numbers at away grounds etc. is a direct result of bad behaviour and we must self police to help reduce it.

Presentations, circulars and appeals may have a part, but a good slap or a word in the ear is what's need with those involved in knobheadry (just invented that word, one for the Oxford dictionary me thinks).

Easy to criticise and point fingers, but we must play our part.

Re: VANDALISM AT READING

Even if all but one of the 3400 fans travelled who travelled up to reading did the damage i would still think it was wrong to charge extra for an away ticket. that means that one of the Travelling Cardiff City fans are paying for something they did not do. That is hardly going to stem the "Root Cause" of the problem is it? In fact i would think it would antagonise more Cardiff City fans and continue to make them feel persecuted, with persecution comes at some point retaliation and then we have an even bigger problem.
I'm not saying i know how to cut out this behaviour but what i am saying is "Charging extra is not the solution"
I don't want to brush such matters under the carpet either but our club has come so far, probably as far as any other (Millwall aside) in creating a club that people feel comfortable taking small children along to.

Mallo but were talking about 2 out of 3,500 and The Trust are trying to make something out of this. They now want to charge every fan an extra £1 per away game

The trust aint said that have they? Looks like one fella who is also on the trust has come up with an idea to stop the vandalism and has just asked for opinions. I dont reckon its a good idea but I wont knock the man for sharing an idea and trying somethin and I wont knock the trust coz it aint their idea from what I can see.

Whats your problem with the trust anyway mate? You always knocking it. Looks like you have an agenda against it for some reason. Your always on about it on here. and what would you do about them wankers like mallo had to deal with at Reading?

I have all the time in the World for Mike and Respect most things he says, Tlg started all this nonsense and tried to blow it out of proportion and is still well in with the trust.

no need to charge loyal fans costs enough as it is espescialy during hard times - we just need to root dickheads out they wont do it again i know that for sure but there will be others and as i said before and has gwyn as aslo said rather than watch them we should educate them more ways than one

stick your trust up your ass side ways as far as im concerned -

Annis there was no need of it up in reading toilets thats all I was saying and yes I was there and seen them and gave them a slap etc mainly due to getting soaked whilst at the toilet !

Annis

I know you will say I am disagreeing with you again but...

From what I can see it is not the trust officially saying this, it was merely an idea floated by Mike who you say you have a grea deal of respect for I can believe this by the way having seen your previous message board exchanges.

TLG attends most away games as far as I can see. He is therefore one of the well behaved supporters. Any slur on the reputation of our away fans affect him too. What has he got to gain by attacking our fans reputaion unecessarily. It affects him too.

He does make plain in his post on MM's board that it is only a tiny number of "morons" responsible and is not attacking the overwhelming number of our supportersb who obviously behaved excellently.

Elwood

Pay more money per away ticket because the actions of others??? No chance, a ridiculous idea. I wonder what damage other club's fans caused when they go there?

Re: VANDALISM AT READING

Mon Nov 15, 2010 9:29 am

going off at a tangent - what about fans who piss against the walls in the toilets instead of queing to use the urinals ? Saw 2 do it at the Jacks home game and when 1 bloke had a go at the said wall pisser he got very aggresive and wanted to have a go at him there and then ........ this behaviour u get at the Mil Stad for rugby and NOT the CCS for City games . No respect some people but then when somebody says something about it you get threatened with violence . So what do u do ????

Annis it was Mike's idea, and thats all it was. It hasnt been popular, I dont agree with it, but Mike's a good guy and at least he's trying to find a solution.

TLG is NOT a representative of the Trust and its stretching the link to its furthest to try and 'blame' the Trust for this.

I don't understand why you have such a downer on the Trust. They are decent people who are doing their best in their own time to help the club out.
