Loans occurring this early are well down the pecking order at their parent clubs, who are happy for them to leave.

The same with buying now, players allowed to leave from higher clubs are already surplus to requirements.

Why do players we want to sign have to be from higher clubs to improve us?

Do you not think that signing Tolaj or Ballard would have improved the squad? Indeed the player that you're happy we signed has come from a team at the same level as us.

I'm amazed that some seem to think that decent signings can only be made right at the end of the transfer window and that this is some sort of brilliant strategy by our club which means that we can have a successful season over 43 games when other teams have their squads ready for a 46 game season.

I'm amazed that some think it's about what the squad looks like before the first game that matters.

You mention specific players but maybe they're not BBM players.

Others have said this but it's true - people say they back BBM, but only when it suits them.

I think we all back BBM as a manager but if you give an electrician a bricklayer trowel don't expect a good job on your electrics.

The saddest part is Ned if we downward spiral again he will be gone even if his hands are tied with backing from above. I think the main thing is he has to adjust his one trick pony style of playing this season if we are limited with quality and numbers for the championship. Anything can happen this season nobody really knows but looking at the current squad before a ball is kicked in the league does worry most because we definitely won't get away with the same things as last season in my opinion

Everyone mentions the Man City academy stuff on his CV, but his last job before us was Leicester City in their nightmare 2024-25 Premier League relegation. He'd been out of work since summer 24. He joined LCFC Dec 24 when they were lower mid table as first team coach to Ruud Van Nistelrooy (Cooper and Beaker had just been sacked)

Van Nistelrooy said “I’m very happy to add him to the coaching team. I've never understood why some people say we only play one way as if it's a bad thing.

The whole thing with our style now is it's brought a type of identity to us. We do mix it up by going longer at times but the core style stays and that's how it should be. I have no doubt that we will stick to it with this manager, and that's the right thing to do. Moving away from it would not help but actually hinder.

You're right - he has his views, has always been consistent in them and deserves respect for that.

Other people have different views, stick to them and they should also be respected for that.

Like most things discussed on here, people have sometimes widely different viewpoints but it would be nice to think that we all have a common goal as supporters of CCFC.
