Another absolutely ridiculous, embarrassing thread.

We're becoming the most entitled set of fans in the country. BBM said he wanted a left back and a keeper. He got a left back and a keeper.

BBM said no one comes in unless they meet all non-negotiables and will be able to improve the starting 11.

What League One signings would have improved our starting 11 that you are all crying about us missing out on?

We have a ton of very highly rated young players. We kept all of them and have set up long-term contracts for most of them as well.

The manager got players that met his non-negotiables in the two positions he openly stated he wanted. Anything else would've been cream but it wasn't a bad window.

Honestly, I think there is a large chunk of posters on here that would prefer to see us fail so they can have another excuse to have a pop at Tan.

I don't particularly like the guy, but with the club back in blue, a slightly-disinterested hands-off owner funding the club for £300K a month is not that much of an issue. Like someone else said - if any of you moaners wanna chip in with your own £300K a month, go for it.

(and the same old boring accustions of being a Tan lover from the same usual suspects begin in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1....)

"We're back in blue" - who was it that put that vile rebrand on us....Tan
"A slightly disinterested owner" - he hasn't bothered is arse to attend a game for over 3 years.
"Funding the club for £300k a month" - it's Tan that has created the financial mess due to his inept running of the club, you can also throw in the loss of money from last seasons relegation on his lap to, he is 100% to blame for last seasons fiasco.

There are just a lot of fans out there who are a little concerned we didn't push the boat out a bit more during this window to ensure we stay on course for promotion. Based on the chasing pack (who dont seem to be going away) I think that concern is very valid.

We can't get it wrong this season, otherwise Lawlor, Robertson, Kpakio, Salech, Rubin etc will almost certainly go...and possibly BBM too.

IMO- One outfield squad member is as much as he would allow, as the others are on such a wavelength. Its a complex system that looks amazing when it works, and often it looked very clunky early season.

Your right budd a lot on hear are just concerned about injuries suspensions and making sure we get promotion and don' t want to fail from either of these things .we go with what we have but tgere may come a time this season were we are without maybe 4 players out of our team and we are stretched especially as we have not covered for this eventuality were it seems the clubs around us have tried to fill there squads so we shall see and hope this is not the case and we get our promotion i would dread to think what would happen if we fail and this is were fans are annoyed at the top for not backing murphy.

100%. My opinion is that to fail at promotion, will be Tans doing or lack off and his alone.

Lets hope BBM keeps up the amazing work and Tan leaves us for good.

You might be right here llan bluebird. I think we'd all admit to being quick to blame Tan but I've wondered whether the lack of activity during this window (and the last really) has been out of choice by BBM.

Either way, my concern with having such a small squad is still there. Like Monty said, if 4 or 5 players pick up knocks, we'll struggle to put a bench together. It's just risky...and all a bit 'Maverick' but that's BBM ain't it...just hope he knows what he's doing!

I won't cope with the play-offs and I question whether this young team will too.

I think too many still have their championship heads on, we are 8 points clear with the best sqaud. Wheatly looked good, but not sure what the others have brought in that makes so many of you worried. I think we all went through the DJ blowout, but this is taking Welsh pessimism to the brink

Llan is 100% right, this whole thread is delusional. I'm sure BBM would love to have millions to spend, what manager wouldn't but we have a squad with 20 odd guys that would walk into every other team in this league.

The reason we don't have loads of injuries is because the manager is very careful about rotating the squad. Nothing maverick about it.

You won't have to cope with the playoffs there's a reason the bookies have us at 1/9

I just took it to read that we haven't really been any less active than those around us & in fact are not just relying on loans but looking to the future with a couple of those moves.

I don't pretend to know anything about other L1 club players and the point i was originally trying to back up with data is that most would go nuts if we signed players from Bristol Rovers or Fleetwood. I had started with Lincoln and highlighted premeir league clubs and realised there weren't many, so wanted to make the point of where BBM's attention is.
I joked to my city mates at work today, that we were still not shopping at Harrods, but had binned Aldi's for treats at M&S.

In all my previous posts i always say U21 and especially U23 are pointless, the kids need to go out on loan to find their level, as U21 are make-believe, shadow, no contact practice matches. Scanlon looked at home in the championship for his 4 games with Millwal, the others are all BBM guesswork.

I think they are just concerned that other around us har been closing the gap and strengthening more than us

Here is a list of the top eight League One signings. How many of these do you think would strengthen our team or even be an improvement to the team they have joined? A few interesting names in there. Ryan Hardie should do well in League One, and Ethan Wheatley, I think, played three Premier League games for Manchester and played against us for Northampton early in the season. Rob Apter is the brother of our academy player Matthew and is a decent player. Blackpool fans are delighted to get rid of Lee Evans and can't believe Bradford paid them for him. Nik Tzanev from Newport to Huddersfield, I have never heard of him

We have a squad that playing well enough to get promotion, if we disturb that squad then what will be the arguments if we fail to go up? ..Why did we bring players in.
Before the window BBM said we needed left back cover and a goalkeeper if Alnwick Horwath left.
He has done just that so why do you think its anything to do with Tan.
BBM also said the transfer ins policy to the club had to change and January is not a time to make any major signings.
BBM has never ever indicated that he did not have the support of Tan in new player signings.
Every game will now be tougher as teams battle for a play off spot or against relegation, we have to support everyone and that has to include Tan now matter the bad taste in the mouth that is.

Honestly, I think there is a large chunk of posters on here that would prefer to see us fail so they can have another excuse to have a pop at Tan.

Fair enough Annis, this debt is all his, but if he hadn't picked up Sam and the Riddlers tab when he came on board we wouldn't even have a club to be arguing about either way.

The club wouldn't simply wouldn't exist, if Tan hadn't stepped in. That is the cold harsh reality that I think you and a lot of others often gloss over.

I know you can't forgive him for the red, 100% get that and 100% don't expect you to change your opinion and respect you for that

And I 100% would be happier if we had any better option (am still hoping Bale's consortium can do a deal when we get back to the Championship)

Just my opinion and how I see things at this moment ‘down the City’….. loving the football, loving our young academy players, love the positivity down at the stadium (even if many on here are moaners), loving being top of the league and looking forward to the battle of the next few months.

Paul, i agree Tan must leave and hopefully the interested parties are still interested.

I dont think we needed all that much, happy with what we got in, wouldve liked to seen a Striker and Dynamic winger come in but think we have enough to get us over the line.

It wouldve been nice to of seen a firm offer made for Trott post season ending.
I know hes not been at his best since returning from injury, but he has more than proved himself a valuable asset with his match winning displays more often than not this campaign.

Agree. Fantastic post. Sums up how we have been used by our owners for they own personal gain. But we not the only ones it’s football I guess.

From what I see at the games and around the city the vast majority are enjoying the football now and that’s all that matters.

Hi Tony, (hope you and the family are ok) yeah it's great to be playing the way we are under BBM but the worry is if/when we go up the dictator might think he can do the same in the championship on zero budget instead of selling up which would be a disaster.
