We had a few good chances to score. They have too, but it was starting to feel like we’d get another goal, that penalty was crazy though. How can he do that knowing VAR is watching too.

Harris has given us what we missed against England but think he’s spent now, he’s made some great runs and done a lot of work off the ball

I like Bellamy but I must question why at 2-1 down we have Broadhead Wilaon and Harris as part of our attacking options???

Can anyone explain why it's taken until 85th Mon to make subs? Previous one was forced

This Wales team are not a match for Belgium. We dont have the Bale, Prime Rambo etc anymore.

It is what it is.

Broadhead gets one back.

Agree, we simply haven't got the required quality of players to compete with the higher ranked teams. A good effort by the boys tho

Our defense is so bad. I think Davies time has sadly come to an end, and I just don’t see how cabango even makes the squad, he’s truly crap.

Bellemy cracks staying to show. England game was a mistake.
Keifer should have been brought on a lot earlier.

I just hope our young lads keep progressing at the rate they are as they are the future for both cardiff and Wales, to many players who are just not up to it in that squad tonight

FT: Wales 2-4 Belgium

Wales' hopes of qualifying automatically for the World Cup end.

Guaranteed to be in the play-offs because of the Nations League. Will finish 2nd if we beat Liechtenstein and North Macedonia next month.

Poor defending cost us tonight.

Not really. England are one of the best in the world and Belgium will be an outside bet.

We've dined at the top table, that's all.

Also who thinks our own Turner will be Wales no 1 at some point, I already think he's better than darlow who has wrists like marshmallows

We're just not as good as some people think. We had a great run when Bale, Ramsey and some others were in their prime but now we're back to being what we were before then, a very mediocre team with a couple stand out players waiting for the next (hopefully) batch to mature & come good. Hopefully with the new expanded world cup finals it won't be another 58 years until our next appearance at them.

Cabango gets games because he’s playing regularly in the championship and there aren’t any better options at this time. Lawlor in our eyes is better, but he’s also regularly playing against lesser opponents.

Shame we switched off, Doku is at another level, and when we had our version in Bale he only needed a half decent team around him to drag us forward.

I’ve always criticised when managers gone by miss Moore out at the start of games, but I fully understand why Bellamy does it. This style isn’t a game where a 1 man up top who isn’t quick and mobile means we suffer. We can’t defend, so the higher up the pitch we start defending the better.

We had chances today, it was a massively better performance than against England and we at times had them on the ropes.

Good effort from Wales against a top Belgium team.
Shame Thomas cant cross accurrately, he had plenty of ball but failed to find a red shirt most of the time.
Still in with a chance of second place.

Let's be honest, not 1 of our players would get into Belgium starting 11

Re: " Wales lose to end automatic qualification hopes "

We were defensively poor today, with the midfield and forwards, not much better. The referee certainly didn’t help however, with some harsh decisions and bookings against us, and very lenient on Belgium. Stupid penalty given away by James, who should not have been on the field at that stage, as he was very poor tonight. Disappointed also with Bellamy, for not bringing Moore on a lot earlier, and for not taking James off earlier, and also for allowing the slow ball out of defence even when there was little time left, when we really needed quick delivery. Rubin Colwill should have come on for James for the second half.

Stand corrected... we need to finish 2nd to get home game in semi final.....so unless we beat lichtenstein by 6 goals we need to win both games to finish 2nd.
