dont trust any of tans 3 clowns ....but seems odd as to why they are all meeting depts to relay news if nothing has really happended ,that doesnt make sense as others have said if nothing is going on meetings wouldnt really need to be done or just a post put out , odd .

It does seem very odd indeed. The ‘meeting heads of depts’ bit is the big one to suggest it may be good news.

- Confirm that a possible take over is happening
- Confirm that any media talk / Gossip is incorrect
Usually companies want to give the message to all groups at the same time in the event of a takeover . I have seen when it is just gossip a meeting or another communication to heads of department to deny the gossip
The other possibility is that they have been given the been already told but that information has been leaked and they will be getting a warning as a group. It is possible in any takeover and depending on how advanced it is that they have signed NDA’s
So that gives a number of possibilities but it is against the norm in a business as usual situation

Heads of Departments usually means redundancy ect but that was addressed on relegation....
The only real alternative is if company was being sold! Also the media is invited why? Could simply put out statement .... as for fans groups when was last time all 3 was together for a meeting usually just trust precent....don't need whole board there to chat to them.... no something be announced and what else is there besides tan selling up?

With regards to the leaked bit. If the information on here is correct and that is a big if It is on social media Also on FB posts So yes it is out there if correct
Having not seen the NDA’s if any Thou they may not mention social media It will guard against leaking information to a third party and in this case again if info on here is correct then that has happened
Not sure if the whole board will be there just the majority My understanding Tan is not there I am assuming he is on the board

Just can't see this being any sort of normal announcement even allowing for club/tans idiosyncrasies.. nothing points to it being normal? It's even OTT for just saying sale is in progress....but there again it is City we're talking about so anything is possible.

thank Annis ....just think IF this is a positive announcement imagine the buzz in the ground before the gamie ..if not and its tan staying its not going to go down well at all and create a bad one ....fingers crossed for something positive .

I think that is just as much a possibility as the announcement of an external consortium taking over, if not more of a possibility ?

Or it could be that Dalman is now going to steer the club until another buyer is sought and that Tan is stepping back until that happens ?

Stupid question, but is there any possibility that Tan would just want one of these potential buyers to just buy into the club becoming a joint shareholder owner and investing. That way he doesn’t have to put more money in, and he feels like a hero if we go back up.

Suspect they know of tans reputation for interference and wouldn't touch club with barge pole with him having any input in it! May done it at man u but that involved mega bucks not 120m or so.
