Second half team much better. I still don’t get the Robertson lovin. He did nothing today. Wintle and Turnbull much better.

Wed Jul 09, 2025 6:34 pm

Rubin has been quality, best on the pitch by a mile.

Also impressed with Ashford and Nyakuhuwa.

Wintle doing well.

Rubin seems like he's filled out over the break he looks a lot bigger and stronger and is running the game

Great run from RC for the first goal as well as his nice free kick for the second. Definitely our best player so far.

Lawlor seems to be a little behind the flow of the game so far.

Their standard is Lower than low:

From City fans their:

Same shit kicking back to keeper stupid mistakes and bbm saying nothing like riza the other team like top prem team, yet TNS probably better.

Tan must be telling them what to do again:

It’s a friendly so I won’t take it to heart .

Friendly

Stop bashing the team. Lower than low. Seriously? Its a pre-season training game with a mixed side. They are noticeably pressing higher already. Already seeing signs of what BBM is doing. You can't judge or draw anything from this so criticising it is nonsense.

Totally agree. It’s a training/fitness exercise you can’t be judging anyone! How can you say you’re not expecting more for Colwill in his first 45 for City is ages! These are not competitive games! They’re a way of putting in the work needed before August 2nd. To say otherwise is a nonsense.

It’s Def a friendly and that’s correct:

But let’s see a bit of flair attacking and good football, not much to ask.

Second-Half

I see a big difference with them against 10 men

It’s a friendly and we must treat it as that .

Cardiff started well first half so I don’t get it. It turned scrappy towards the end but we are doing ok. It’s not about results.

It’s implementing BBM’s ideas and getting the squad used to playing together.

We have been much better second half but baring a few in the first half team this second half team is much stronger.

This team we are playing are no mugs either, a decent team.

Nyakuhuwa more threatening than Willock and Tanner combined

Re: Match Thread " Cardiff City v Johor " Matchd

Johor don’t lose. They are giving it everything.
A really good test for us.

I wonder if Tan has a bet on with their owner?
Or
The team are on bonus?!?

They are fuming losing against a third tier side!

Another good free kick by Rubin that Salech heads just wide

@ryanwintle123 with a great ball out to @tan_nyakuhwa10, whose low cross is almost turned in. (2-1)

I am assuming there is no ban for a red card in a friendly??

It’s a friendly against 10 men and against a team from Malaysia a league not rated at all.

But for me this is a friendly and getting our players fit and jelling.

BBM getting a good look at them this is what this is about.

It isn’t against 10 men.

Both teams agreed that Johor will continue to play with 11.

They put a replacement on for the guy that was ‘sent off’
