What purse?

Who have the others been, in the last two years though.

I bet a lot of city fans wouldn’t know.

As stated by someone else, a lot had never heard of Maresca.

"Who".

Be honest the lad was bottom of any recent list Jones ramsey etc or are you saying this pro lot Who were hired to source this guy came up with him ahead of all others .
Give me a break

Have stated multiple times he wouldn’t be my first choice.

But it’s who we have.

We either get behind him or call him names before he’s even announced.

It’s clear which way you’ve decided to go.

What name did i give him?

Well you’ve called him Riza 2 already a couple of times.

He may turn out to be, but none of us have crystal balls.

The point is to give him a chance. I doubt that BBM was anyone’s first choice.

Personally I wanted Buckingham.

Are you offended at me calling him riza 2 ? Are you a human rights lawyer hardly an offensive name ? probably based on more to do with a similarity to riza chosen by Mr tan.

No Im not offended by it but it’s not really proven is it?

Reading through the latest comments, there was a red flag for me when someone posted some remarks from the Rochdale forum - one of the posters mentioned the dreaded Riza-esque cliche "it's all about the performance"! OMG, I really hope BBM isn't just a flash facsimile of Riza, who would be perfectly satisfied with 10 great 'performances' from the players but results like this: W1 D4 L5.
Please spare us that sh1tshow again. Football is about scoring goals, creating chances and WINNING matches, not bloody drawing loads - that's what got us relegated!

And he has said he realises he made big mistakes at Rochdale, the game is about results. It a link on here somewhere.

Riza ball wasn’t flashy, it was dull.

BBM likes football, possession, high-press, scoring goals.

For years we have been starved of it. All of our appointments have been laidback football or dinosaur tactics.

BBM, may not work out, may do. But at least we are gonna get someone who will try to bring modern exciting football to the match day.

Hopefully, with a good season and something to enjoy.

typical premier league plastics, if someone asked me who having Chesterfield or Darren purse was I'd be able to tell them. they will probably not go to games now they're not in the premier league. this sums up a lot of what's wrong in today's game, if you support a club it's not all about the first team.

He might have taken the Rochdale job to early in his career, wasn’t he a player for them when he took over? He has had a few years to work on his trade.

I hope the club have given the job to the person with the best plan for what he wants to do with the club. We will find out in the coming months. We could have the best manager in the world but we all know what he needs is the backing of the board, with staff around so he can do his job and some money to spend on the players HE wants and NEEDS.

To be honest how many Tottenham fans were truly gutted to lose Chris Davies when he left for Brum? I doubt many of them would have been that familiar with him either..

Well.I went out to the pub tonight and chatted to Pep Guardiola, Enzo Maresca, Cole Palmer and Ruud Van Nistelrooy and they had all heard of him and spoke well of him.

Sounds sarcastic but not intended to be, it is just for context. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I don't see it as being of any relevance that some random Leicester fans in a pub haven't heard of BBM. For further context, I am not a Leicester fan, nor a Rochdale or Man City fan but I have most certainly heard of him, as have thousands of others. Not knowing coaches at the club you support isn't a gauge of their ability, he did an ok job at Rochdale but in his own words made mistakes, he then won the PL2 with Man City in his first season in charge after Maresca left. He has studied the game since to make amends for the errors at Rochdale and has waited for a chance which it now looks like we will give him and L1 may be a good level (like Chris Davies) to start.
Lee Riley also has knowledge of emerging talents with his previous role, we now have a manager and assistant with good links to the current Man City and Chelsea managers to maybe exploit the loan system or even permanent transfers.
I am optimistic, maybe the delay by the club has knocked the wind out of people for enthusiasm but I think he will be a good appointment. He hasn't come here to fail, he has come here for his chance to do well as a manager so lets all back him and get behind the team and not worry too much about fans opinions/knowledge from other clubs.
L1 is a chance for a clean slate and to try and rebuild and BBM may well be the guy to do it.

You misread my comment. I didn't describe Riza's football as flashy, it was pointless sideways shite that got us nowhere and bored me rigid and ultimately tool us down without an ounce of fight being shown.

Given BBM's background, I just hope he's not obsessed with possession above creating loads of chances and winning football matches. In League 1 the ball needs to be played forward quickly with emphasis on good wing play.

He is more possession based, but it’s nice football.

He can get his team scoring goals. So it should be more exciting under him. Players with freedom.

Can't criticise or praise a manager I've never heard of.
If he is named manager, only time will tell!
Fingers crossed.

Aw yeah mind, Leicester fans are really gonna know a lot about someone and be gutted their leaving after being there for 6 months, you all can’t be serious.

Bloke is an assistant manager to add to that.

Genuine now what did you think Leicester fans were gonna say? They been in free fall in the Prem all season and RVN and all took over end of November.

All of this just for indirect digs and to have a bash at the board, not defending the board before anyone says oh he supports and backs the board.
