Are all the various media outlets wrong?
They’ve been wrong so far, Allan
My take is that it’s a complete mess currently. We just seem to lurch from one fiasco to the next. It’s probably the reason they keep everything so quiet in order the (try and) control the narrative and it seems no matter what Mehmrt wants, Tan is scuppering
I guess we’ll see early to mid week but I fully understand both Mrs Rambo’s point about staying home and Mr Rambo’s wish to have one last playing hoorah at a World Cup like Bale or to take on the Bluebird managerial job. It must be massively conflicting in his mind
Not sure he’ll make it to the World Cup though (sadly) and I thought he had the upper hand in the choice to stay here?
Either way, it’s a bloody mess right now in the absence of any real clarity from the dark corridors of power at the CCS

Didn't believe this when it was first reported yesterday but there does seem to be something in it.
What a mess.

Apart from being a poor negotiator in the absence of Dalman, I don’t think Choo is anything but Tan’s eyes and ears at the CCS
I think Dalman has been somewhat pushed aside in recent times, despite his superior knowledge on the footballing front. His relationship with Rambo is apparently solid and a deal between those two could be signed now
Sadly, the main problem remains elsewhere, as usual!

I think he may lost a lot of credibility in Tan’s eyes over the Bulut appointment. Apparently, VT was dead against it, but Dalman prevailed. I also heard he had to underwrite any early release costs, if we had to let him go for poor performance. Choo is certainly the eyes and ears man of the set up.

If Ramsey does go, i hope he speaks out about everyone at city from Tan down to that smarmy lapdog choo, but i will not be surprised if Ramsey will be diplomatic. By speaking out about the shitshow that is city, he might do a power of good.

this move just doesn't make sense to me. the traveling he will have to do just to be apart of the Wales camp and for a team that play 17 league games a season at high altitude. it just doesn't sit right with me/ Glad I haven't renewed yet..... HMS CARDIFF CITY SINKING SHIP WITH ADMIRAL TAN

Just not sure he would have many options on the playing side nowadays. This feels like a mate doing him a solid.
Expect him to go alone, with family staying here. 9/10 months will fly by.
He knows the Cardiff job will be there in the future.
Why would the job be there in future? Where will city be in 3 yrs premier league? Who knows if your talking 10yrs maybe but will he be in management even? In football you take the chance when it comes as may never come again.

BBC sport just said a deal as been agreed as he wants to play in WC! Make of that what you will
Sun Jun 08, 2025 12:06 pm
That’s now Bale and Ramsey who have both decided to f**k off to the other side of the world after serious discussions with our clowns of leadership about the end of their careers

It’s been reported by Fabrizio Romano so it’s a done deal

It was more to guess in cheek based on the number of times we change managers.

I doubt he woke up Friday morning and thought, fcuk it, let's play in Mexico!!
He has a wife, a fledgling drinks venture, his kids, parents, and his agent to talk with before even working out how he is going to live in the not so safe central American country.
The club were all in on Jones. Rambo has always stated he want to play next season, he has had an operation that may improve his hamstring just enough to carry out that wish.
I took Twitter off my phone years ago, but since the manager hunt I have logged in on my laptop occasionally and the sheer amount of ITK bollox on there is insane.
Since last week the internet has been about Rambo but not a dickie bird from him or the club.
Could the derisory offer be for playing, as that's what he is, a player?
So we are back with Buckingham,BBM and Evatt.

I agree but we were told by our chairman that a manager would be in place by the end of May.

Did he say that ? Or was it the media ?

Phil Blanche is a proper journalist, So is Abbo (i think he is semi retired) I read what they say with interest and a lot of us believe he gets snippets from Dalman. God knows what games are going on between Dalman and Tan? Is Dalman involved that much? Does he even know what's going on.
Nature abhors a vacuum, so the silence is filled by gossip and Jacks, all sorts.
It's a crazy, dysfunctional club that doesn't deserve its fan base. 10.3K is loyalty when there has been no communication from the club at all since April 29th
Sun Jun 08, 2025 2:32 pm
What if he has decided to leave after finding out he didn’t get the job?
Sun Jun 08, 2025 3:06 pm
This summer is wild even for Cardiff standards.
Evatt then Buckingham, then the board go after Jones, back to Ramsey, Ramsey is off to Mexico and now back to Buckingham
No wonder players come here, put in 50% effort and collect their salary. It is absolute CHAOS. Is there any club in the EFL as bat shit as this one??!
Sun Jun 08, 2025 3:15 pm
I love Ramsey but the cynical view of the past two years would be that we broke our wage structure for an injury prone player who didn’t affect the game on field as much as you’d expect for the wages.
If it wasn’t Ramsey, then we wouldn’t be calling for the club to extend the contract of a 34 year old equivalent of Ramsey.
Wish him all the best, but freeing up those wages are massive for the league 1 battle.
The fairytale fit Ramsey firing Cardiff to the premier league never transpired, but thankful that he returned.
Sun Jun 08, 2025 3:28 pm
And he is still in his re-hab stage following his hamstring operation, so how long is he going to take to be match fit, surely he will be missing a good chunk of games at the start of their season. I still find it hard to believe a Mexican side will risk signing him when nobody else will, they must know his recent injury history.
Sun Jun 08, 2025 3:36 pm
This has been going on for weeks there's no way Ramsey tied this up this last few days
Sun Jun 08, 2025 3:48 pm
Just said on Sky Sports that he's going to Mexico

willhenry wrote:This has been going on for weeks there's no way Ramsey tied this up this last few days
No he has not? but can't help feeling that if tan had said to rambo what do you want/ need to be manager tan should have given it to him instead we hear he thought he could do a riza on him with derogatory money .... if font that he would be our manager today instead the other offer came in he thought why not gives me chance WC and Swan song before retirement. ... so Mr tan should have given me what I wanted.
Sun Jun 08, 2025 4:00 pm
Just like Bale going to the USA made no sense, neither does this & I fear it would not end well for Wales at the WC or Ramsey, just like Bale was ineffective at the last WC so will Ramsey be at the next if he goes through with this. Why Mexico would be the question when he could play a lot closer to home, I just don't understand the thinking if this is correct.
You have to wonder wtf Tan says to these guys to make them want to get 6,000 miles away from Cardiff when their wives, kids & businesses are in the area.

On a slow sports news day has this story gained more legs than intended?
I 100% agree with Rambo trying to extend his career by another 12 months. He has the next 20 years to be a manager if that's what he wants to do.
But Mexico just seems wild. I read his mate Carlos Vala is behind this, but the Spanish, French 2nd division would make more sense to me. He just needs to play regularly, he looked miles off it this season, and the cold, incessant & brutal L1 isn't where he needs to be.
Isn't Tan in the habit of low salaries with big incentives anyway?
I await seeing the final details being ironed out.

Sky Sports appear to have abandoned this story and it’s going quiet on other respected media outlets
FB, X, and other platforms don’t really count, so it may be that someone, somewhere has either jumped the gun or made a smart move to focus a few minds (no names mentioned, as Vincent Tan might take offence)

Well now they're saying it's wide of the mark.
