Put it this way, I'd expect the club to be a little more vocal if they'd only shifted 2000 season tickets to date, but they've shifted over 10,000 without ANY positive news whatsoever, coming off the back of a devastating relegation.

By not even feeding us scraps, they've sold the tickets!
They don't care as long as the money rolls in.

How can anyone on here possibly know the exact details of the conversations our owner is having with the Charlton owner??

Last week it was 100% definite that Buckingham had been offered the job now a week later it is 100% definite that we want Jones

Obviously they aren’t going to come out and say about the compensation being too much, but the back and forth on rumours with no real sources and lack of actual substance is just as funny.

Well said , I find it astonishing that people take what's written on a message board as 100% truth its always 2nd or 3rd hand information that may or may not be the 100% the truth .unless its on the offical website then its just rumours .

So apparently City first approached Charlton when they were in the play-off semi finals.

Charlton wanted £1m compensation but had to wait until play-offs had finished, which City were happy with.

But then because Jones' wages went up after promotion, Charlton then said they wanted £2m.

With his wages and bringing in the coaches for Jones it would have all come to about £4-5m.

Tan agreed but wanted to pay it over five years but Charlton said they wanted it all now.

City had given Charlton until 4pm today to accept the terms or they'd walk away.


So nothing was done underhand, Charlton have known about the situation since before their play-off games.

If Jones wants to come and pushes the move, and Cardiff really want him, it will happen, nowhere near those costs, unless they are here a very long time and there wages end up costing that.

I put that (people renewing) down to the ‘real’ supporters sticking with their club rather than walking away and using the ‘regime’ as an excuse

Let’s be honest here; anyone who was going to ‘walk away’ purely because of our owner and his (particularly early) shenanigans, did so years ago, rather than waiting for the excuse of relegation. Those of us of a certain vintage have seen far worse than what we have now; it’s just so massively disappointing that the first man with the finance to take us to the top turned out to be such a disappointment

Our supporters are not daft. They know when things aren’t right but most stick by the club (rather than owner) in the hope that things improve. We may (often do) grumble but most regulars don’t walk away

Why don't we cut our losses release Ramsey and save some well needed dosh as his value to us v playing appearances is off the wall.

One could argue selling any player of value for 4 to 5 million to finance a decent manager, has a better return especially if that/those player are always injured or inconsistent, and I could name a few of them ?

Chris is not a Tan supporter and neither am I - but I'm delighted that 10k have renewed and hope to see more.

Many people told you that a boycott would never happen or work - the first part of that has been proven.

Just because fans choose to support their club it doesn't mean that they are suddenly Tan supporters.

If you want to do something else with your Saturdays then that's up to you. But it doesn't give you the right to tell the rest of us not to go and call us Tan supporters (which we're not) if we don't do as you say.

The ‘Bluebird for life!’ tag comes with loving the club and not the regime and you’re either in or your out!
