To be fair, until it is announced by the club, it’s just a rumour and should be treated as such

Riza's days are numbered, make no mistake he will be given the Blackburn game, the board want him gone but Tan is hesitant and wants to give Riza a chance to turn it around.

Tan really likes Riza because he is very cheap and will do as he's told, Dalman doesn't want him, he wanted Bilic.

The whole board is in disarray and has filtered throughout the club for years and the has poisoned the culture.

It's a total mess, we are going to have to endure tonight times before the penny finally drops and Tan cuts his losses.

I saw it from several accounts on X last night too as well as here, also stated earlier on this thread that until we needed to wait for the official word.

Should have learnt that a long time ago with our temperamental ownership. Who actually knows what will happen next?

Re: BREAKING! OMER RIZA SACKED?

To be fair to Chris, he rarely puts posts out like this so he would have had faith in his source.

No announcement yet but I wouldn't be surprised if they were waiting until after Blackburn. Then they'd have two weeks to find a manager because of the international break. Obvious after last night that Riza's days are numbered.

But people shouldn't be too critical of the OP, he's not one to make stuff up.

Similar happened to me last year. I was reliably told that Bulut had been sacked but it didn't actually happen, which led to me getting a lot of criticism for posting it.

Then he did get sacked a week later.

Don’t worry. I understand the cynicism when these things aren’t instant. The initial report was he ‘was sacked’ but that was later updated with ‘confident it’s happening

I’ll update as I hear anything; but I certainly won’t be offering up my credible contact (for so many reasons) :ayatollah:

The other results have gone against us tonight, he will be gone after Blackburn and we will be searching during the international break.

We should be reaching our to potential managers now to have him lined up straight away like a club with a bit of sense would do.

Trouble is a lot of managers who were out of work who would have been good options for us are in work now,a few have mentioned Ryan Lowe he’s gone to Wigan today so that’s not happening

Slavisa Jokanovic, Bilic, Wagner even Rob Edwards, there are some about that have got experience in the championship and are available.

Tan needs to stop being a cheapskate with the coaching set up at this club.

I heard this too last night plus it was on X and then ORs post match press language indicated his days are numbered from his comments and the language he's using. And then tonight he is apparently messaging fans on X which is odd behaviour for a manager although admirable in other ways.

I like him as a person and he's personally had to deal with tragic circumstances and I sincerely wish him nothing but the best for his future. There's a good coach in there but the Cardiff job was always going to be too much for a rookie manager to learn on and to be honest, it's a poison chalice of a job as Tans expectations are completely unrealistic of what he was tasked with and what he could achieve based on his experience.

So OR is gone, sooner or later timing wise and the real issue now that is screaming at the board is what they now do to try to save our season and avoid what will be an absolute disaster for our club.

It should never have got to this in the first place and that's down to one man and one man only. Although the other two stooges don't exactly help either.

We all agree riza needs replacing with an experienced coach ybere are several available but give short amount of games left there still is no garauntee they'll get us our of this mess? Several of these went to our rivals and still haven't got away... and rowett was given as an example of what happens when use experience but that is going south now after whirlwind start ? No wins in 9 just above us after being miles ahead 10 games ago.... one thing for sure riza won't get us out of this mess .

Paul, spot on!

My understanding is that it’s ‘imminent’ with the owner not wanting it to happen to another of his appointees but accepting we are now at the edge of a deep precipice!

That makes sense Chris and I'm hoping that there is no stubborn ego sentiment to delay the inevitable as we have run out of time this time.

Tan and Co should be having emergency board meetings as our situation is that dire. And those meetings better quickly have an outcome of an immediate appointment of a low risk proven pair of hands whose focus is to save our season. It would be great if that appointment was someone who could also take us forward after achieving safety of course but the immediate clear and present danger is at a minimum what needs to be addressed. NW till the season end and in parallel a search for our next manager who surely must have to be a proven pair of hands and talent.

The lack of football nouse at board level has really bitten us on the arse this time and that's down to one man and the chuckle brothers.

This situation angers me as we really should be in a position similar to Brighton with the millions that Tan and the board have wasted.

I will telly you exactly what happened:

Dalman and Choo called an emergency meeting with Puppet Riza.

And it was assumed they would sack the Puppet:

Re: BREAKING! OMER RIZA SACKED?

Fri Mar 14, 2025 10:26 pm

From what I'm hearing, it sounds like Dalman and Choo spoke to Riza and wanted to sack him.

But then Tan said no.

I'm unsure how true this is as information from this source has always been 50/50 and weirdly they're not based in Wales (my information on the summer about Robertson signing also was from a source outside Wales, from Manchester City).

But I will be surprised if Riza stays in charge if we lose to Blackburn.

Dalman and Choo don't want him, it's just Tan.

And we all know nothing happens without Tan's say so.

Re: BREAKING! OMER RIZA SACKED?

I feel tomorrow's game should be make or break. If we lose then Riza should be gone. There's then 2 weeks until the next game which for most owners would be plenty of time to find a new manager. Most managers would probably have someone lined up....then there's Tan!

That's the whole point, any other sane run club would have someone lined up already (maybe two options) then there is us.
