It was at Ashton Gate and no mention of who made the ‘complaint’

Chris I realised afterwards but couldn't edit things..... it seems City staff are responsible for telling BC or FA what was shouted...unfortunately tan and ccfc come as a pair when something happens......and it never rains but pours where city's concerned..

Well isn't that calling him a transvestite or similar? If called a player a ladyboy sure it would be deemed offensive an owner is part of football club so while it's doesn't sound much in grand scheme of things nowadays it will be looked at as transfobia or something
Oh yea I agree in this day and age something like that would get flagged up but as football fans who been following cardiff for so long you become desensitised to chants like that so at the time I didn't really pay any attention to it but when I saw they had been charged that chant came into my mind and I thought it has to be thats what the charge was for
We as fans may not agree with the action but cannot hide from the fact its racist ...and if fa are citing club for it that shows how they view it? So condeming club for bringing it to fa attention is wrong no matter how people feel about tan..like said if aimed at player same action taken end of story..
Allan,
WHAT CHANTS THAT THEY ACTUALLY CHANTED HAVE NOT BEEN PUBLICLY PUT OUT:
I have to say as well, not ever heard of this happening in the UK before??
Cardiff fans use to sing about Elton John at Watford, about Swansea players etc etc
Never makes it right
And more recently away at Portsmouth and Plymouth about the Death of Queen Elizabeth.
Tan could open a can of worms here.

Fans caught singing such songs will be banned from supporting the club. Its the only direction that is offered to them. Its not an easy job that.
However it can work. It reminds me of the monkey chants at Black players back in the day. There came a law out making it racist and carrying a sentence. Overnight it stopped and rightly so.

Bit of a difference between outright racist abuse, and a pisstake.

Annis, it wasn’t aimed at Allan. I was just posting in response to some saying it was at the CCS and the article I saw didn’t say who had made the complaint
However, it is reasonable that it would have come from the club and if so, likely Wayne Nash
I’m actually with those who believe that if it was our club who made the complaint, it leaves a high risk of reciprocal complaints from other clubs (particularly the obvious one) for some of the chants (some of) our own supporters sing
One longstanding supporter who sits with me received an email a couple of weeks ago from said Mr Nash, telling him he was ‘on warning’ for his ‘over exuberant’ goal celebrations! It seems they have positioned the same (horrid jobsworth) steward to keep an eye on him and report back on his ‘behaviour’ whilst celebrating a goal!
Best left alone IMHO; particularly as our owner wasn’t at the game and I’m sure his hearing isn’t that good from thousands of miles away! Very few (if any) of us heard it ‘’live’, so assuming it was from our club, it must have been relayed to him after the game!

To be fair, I read the article this morning about the fans who shouted that at Chelsea fans.
He said he regretted it.
But also said that he didn't really know what it meant at the time, goes to show that fans get involved in these things without realising the significance of what they're saying.

Ned he didn't realise it was a criminal offence which is fair enough ..... but I highlighted it because people on here think there's nothing wrong in singing it at tan..... not backing tan just making point anyone could have reported the singing and as we know all clubs are responsible for fans actions in and out ground? FA response is just a process that will take its course and that's end of it! no need to go ott like our fans have done...

And here he comes; the whiter than white ‘Jack’!![]()
If you had any credibility, you’d be saying ‘I’m off to my own site to discuss proper football things in a manner befitting our own environment and forward thinking”
Oh no! I forgot (not!), your Planet Swamp site is an embarrassment, so you get your ‘kicks’ from jealously trawling your capital club’s web-site looking for ‘snippets’ of garbage to soothe your inferiority complex!![]()
Your club ain’t without its faults, fella. In fact, far from it!
