Seems a strange team selection to me. We are having some decent possession. But Coventry have looked far more likely to score.
They have been close several times. We usually have little threat up front. At the moment, it seems Hudson has gone for a no threat formation!!
And where is Philogene supposed to be playing? One rhings for sure, he isny in the team for his tackling!
Also If Etete is tired with his increased workload(!) surely he should still be a sub?
Lets hope Isaac Davies is fit enough to play 30 mins! Otherwise we don’t seem to have many options off the bench.
Fingers crossed :bluebird:

We have had 3 very good opportunities to score but simply do not know how to kick a ball towards goal with any purpose.

Free-kick to the Bluebirds about 25 yards out is taken by Colwill, whose shot is a little wide of Ben Wilson's lefthand upright, as the game goes in to 2 minutes added time

A first-half that was full of incident sees the teams go in level at half-time

The Bluebirds started we enough before Coventry got into the game and they probably had the better chances, although it has to say the Bluebirds could have done much better with their own

Highlight for me so far, is the link-up between Colwill and O'Dowda, which shows much promise...

Done some nice stuff, but yeah Cov do a couple passes and they get a chance.

not a bad first half but you can see where we come up short, but we half held our own, why did cov player stay on after having traetment, more chances for coventry but we have had a few, i think sawyers hould come on second half

If a player is injured by a player who is subsequently booked they can stay on the field of play after treatment.

Gutted we have no real striker tonight. Will take a point now which so far we've deserved. Can Colwill play down the middle? Definitely a game Sawyers could come back and make a mark in too.

Injured player doesn't have to go off if opposing player (Kipre) is booked, Rog...

A bit odd; more so when ypu see the referee was heavily influenced well after the event by the home team players and I'm not sureit was his intention to book him at point of challenge...

I did not know that so thanks for the info.

The right side is poor. Does Philogene need 6 or 7 games to get up to speed ? And NG is a turnover machine and generally has to go chasing to recover

Rinojota for Sawyers at 60 mins is my guess

I mentioned this at the QPR game; Philogene seems to be better off the bench later in a game...

How many times today have we heard "Harris is away but needs support" just before nothing happens ?

Re: MATCH THREAD: ' COVENTRY v CARDIFF CITY ' MATCH THREAD

Thu Dec 29, 2022 9:04 pm

Sometimes, we undo ourselves with some slack, thoughtless and wasteful passing, which again leads to a decent Coventry counter-atrack

If we can cut that out, we are capable of winning this game

Colwill taking responsibility for the ball and being supported by O'Dowda, Wintle and the much-maligned Ralls

Hes doing everything and nothing, does all the hard work then the ball bouncing of his feet, he dunno where it is. Finds the ball then passes to the GK or losses it.
