Maybe it’s our speed and closing down that’s making them poor mate.

HATERS?

The only person with that type of talk is YOU.

Just because many including myself rate Watters as League 1 player and not Championship player including Morison(but has NO other choice to keep him, was getting rid), how does that make us HATERS? Your very sad to come out with that.

Yes having a brilliant game v League 2.

Would love Watters to become a good championship striker, would really benefit us :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

That’s a bit unfair on those that don’t/haven’t rated him.

He’s done little to justify any faith at Championship level up to now and today is still against lower league opposition.

I really hope he proves people wrong (it would save us a fortune!!) but he’s still got a lot to do before we can be confident he’s good enough at Championship level in my opinion.

Ojo hits a free-kick straight into the wall, but does well to recover and win a corner.

Great save from Allsop! Ben Gladwin strikes a volley incredibly well and the goalkeeper ans to be strong and quick at his near post to punch it away.

Sawyers hits a low shot from range, it deflects over for a goal kick.

Haters a strong word and maybe the wrong choice. Not really something to get offended about though. But people have said he’s not Championship standard after him only playing 11 games at that level and most as a substitute. So how can people judge on that. If you judge Vardy on the same amount of championship games then you’d have similar results. Our style of play will suit him now, and hopefully he reaps the rewards. I do think we definitely need another striker though.

Vardy is one in 10,000

Name me 6 Vardys?

Because fans are allowed different views /opinions

I judge players after 10-12 games and how the team will do, I believe we will know after 10-12 games.

I'm not going to judge any player until we play some league games.

I repeat that pre-season is mainly about fitness, although the wins do help confidence.

Been impressed by Allsop, Sawyers, O'Dowda, Rinomhota, Collins and Kipre over these games. Watters has done well today and took his goal well.

But these aren't Championship games, they're light pre-season run outs against League One and League Two teams.

Nice to win but the real games start next week and that's what I'll judge.

Re: MATCH THREAD: ‘CCFC THIS SATURDAY’AWAY TO SWINDON

Sat Jul 23, 2022 12:31 pm

Romeo is clear down the right and has O'Dowda and Watters free in the box, but over-hits his cross!, chance totally wasted.

Allsop is furious because it's a tap-in if Romeo puts it anywhere near the middle of the area.

to be fair mind, Vardy didn't join Leicester until he was 25, and i think he was in his 30s when he won the premier league, but smalling was signed young for Fulham in the premier league. Che Adams is only 25/26 now.
