In the absence of the email link, I've just downloaded our vtickets from my Bluebird account via the sms option with no problems. I'm confident that we will get the email link tomorrow and I'll probably switch to that download as I've read the graphic code periodically updates. I've also taken a screenshot just in case there are mobile data problems at the gates.

Good to cover all bases mate but there were a few at the turnstiles in front of us whose bar codes weren’t working and the stewards looked at them then gave them a paper ticket.

Yeah I read that mate and it's good that there's a policy in place to give paper tickets to those who have problems with their vtickets. We are in 117 gate 9 and were in very quickly for the Barnsley game. Gonna get down there a bit earlier on Saturday just in case though.

Stephen,

I emailed the ticket office this afternoon and in fairness had a prompt reply;

I agree that the current situation is shambolic, and only goes to further demonstrate how bad things are behind the scenes.

You had a prompt reply but it’s a shambles?

Correct. New cards should have been sent out before our first home game for a start, or at the very least loaded onto existing cards. It can’t be that difficult surly? After all, season ticket renewals went live on July 1st, didn’t they??

Yes but if club had validated 13k cards what would they do when season started with limited capacity as WG didnt make a decision on capacity until start season ? Even more chaos that's for sure... damned if they do damned if they didn't .

Good. I've just deleted the vticket I downloaded from my Bluebird account and will use this latest official version as I read that the graphic code periodically updates, security protocol I guess. I've also taken a screenshot just in case the mobile data reception is pants at the CCS. Hopefully that's all done and we can relax and look forward to the game now.

Didnt someone post that there was a problem with the delivery of the cards after the e- mail was sent out? Maybe the club should have said nothing then nobody have anything to complain about.... at end of day people had opportunity to get paper tickets if they required them? In all my years 50 of watching city there as always been laughter at the size of crowd so last week was nothing new. :old:

Oh, hang on, it's another chance to have a 'pop' at the club they purport to 'love'

I'm with you; so what, so long as we all get in on Saturday? It worked okay (in fact, quite well) last time out... :ayatollah:

It only worked for those who were a able to sort it out. There was nowhere near the 17,000 that was reported as the attendance. A 78 year old I spoke to last Monday missed the Barnsley game because he didn't know how to access his ticket and i wouldnt imagine he was the only one. I spent three hours trying to sort mine out- which you kindly offered advice on- and loads of other people had hassle. People are not having a pop at the club for the sake of it. They have been messed around big time by the people who run our club who seem to be completely detached from those of us who love the club.

If loads of people are having no problems that's fine for them, but loads aren't finding it easy and are being made to jump through hoops to get something which we paid for over 12 months ago.

We were told that the reason cards weren't sent out for Barnsley was because of the lateness of the Welsh Assembly confirmation. We now find out that that was at best a convenient excuse and they weren't ready anyway. I find it astonishing that anybody can defend the club over this.

I appreciate your comments there; but I neither supportrd or condemned the club, as I am not privvy to what has happened

I certainly do try to help wherever I can but it is clear there are some nefarious members on here who actually look for excuses to knock their own (supposed) club

Fingers crossed for a successful day Saturday

Sadly, there

Digital ticket received today and people more likely to know how to sort it out. With ticket office as well hopefully a bigger crowd tommorrow. :ayatollah:

People making a mountain out of a mole hill..... yes problems last time with links but a bit patience and you could put it into way to use simply at gate.... this time got two text with for both links no problem... yes people say shouldn't need to do anything but in fairness club using new ticketing system so guess teething problems which you would expect.

Teething problrems1 A bit more than that.

Is it more than that? Majority of fans got their links and some with bit tinkering got their tickets others were able to get paper tickets as per instructions from club... some did genuinely have problems with getting theirs but by same token others just complaining for sake if it.... judging by lack of complaints this time around it's gone a lot smoother.
