abolish the Welsh Assembly

abolish the Welsh Assembly AND BE RULED BY ANOTHER COUNTRY.WHAT A BUNCH OF QUISLINGS

The notion you quote (quisling) is one of people who don't want WAG being "traitors who collaborate with an enemy force occupying their country..."

I guess some will see it that way, whilst others are more realistic and pragmatic enough to realise Wales couldn't really cope without the UK umbrella and last time I looked (granted with days to go) the whole of the UK was actually 'ruled' by the EU in Brussels; something WAG (ahem, Welsh Labour) would like to see remain ;)

The term 'quisling' is a wholly disrespectful name that's been levelled at people you don't know but presume to

The practicalities of Wales 'going it alone' are pretty scary when you look at what we truly have to offer that isn't linked to being part of the UK and the thought of some of those, like Drakeford and Gethin, steering such a ship is one of Titanic proportions

Just my view, of course, and I won't be dragging the dictionary in some inane way of belittling your personal thoughts on the matter, as they are just that...your personal view (or maybe not) and worthy of respectful riposte ;)

Bearing in mind the 2010 figures come directly after a global financial crash.
Debt has risen from £1 trillion to £1.8 trillion
Debt as a measure of gdp went from 65% right up to 83%.

Good thing we had all them years of austerity with the 120,000 deaths linked to it wasn't it?

To make it more relevant to this posts topic. 2010 had 2.57 million people waiting for NHS appointments. 2019 was at 4.42 million and increasing
Fewer medical professionals, less equipment, and longer waiting times.

Still haven't found a reason why anyone would vote for them (unless you're rich of course)

Is Westminster fit for purpose? A government run by privately educated toffs who have nothing in common with the people of Wales?
Drakeford has made some errors and definitely messed up on the current restrictions but the Welsh government have handled the Pandemic better than those fools in London!

No.

For twenty years they have had total control of two issues that became devolved. Health and Transport. After twenty years are either any better? Are they better than England? They are not. By miles. Then, in 2015, they took on the responsibility for Transport. Is that any better? No. Miles and miles of cycle and bus lanes with no one using them. Every time I drive from Culverhouse Cross in the direction of the airport I cringe at the massive expanse of tarmac raised pavement to the left and the isolated lane to the right and think of the year of chaos caused when they were doing it. Cycle lanes and idiotic junctions and one systems cropping up left right and centre in our towns everywhere that cause more congestion than there was before. Then they fought and obtained tax raising powers so control and benefit from the financial take from our property land tax, Stamp Duty, to you and me and the power to borrow money themselves. This most people thought was for the one project that could transform South Wales the M4 relief road which they decided shouldn't be built because the our Futures Commissioner decided it wasn't a good idea.

Who said anything about Covid free? I'm saying they've handled the Pandemic better... (which they have).
Nobody has handled it perfect and I appreciate that but Drakeford (bar the last set of restrictions) has handled it far better than Boris and co.
Their keen disregard for life has helped them handle the economy better...
I think the Welsh Government have tried to stop the deaths and unfortunately the economy will take a hit due to this.
It's a shit situation but I trust the Welsh Government to look after Wales far better than those Anti-Welsh Tory scum in Westminster :thumbright:

It's not about who's up or not? It's about the criticism of the Welsh Government being unfair...

The thread questions the effectiveness of the Welsh Parliament and the majority of people questioning would rather be ruled by an outside government (which I really don't understand).

Not sure why there's such a unionist appetite on here... I thought we left that to our Pikey friends down West?

NOT A SINGLE FOOTBALLING POST on a FOOTBALL FORUM says a lot to me and you've been here before; just not in this name ;)

When you conclude that the Senedd 'costs' are IN ADDITION to the London establishments, depending on ideological views, one could argue that the Senedd is a 'cost' that could be avoided; notwithstanding the confusion caused by four different regions having four different strategies even though so many overlap one with another

To call people 'stupid' and 'fools' says a lot about you; far more than it does them

Drakefore is a failed teacher and social worker that just happened to get elected as an AM and then somehow found himself 'running' the country.
Johnson - at least he was running London as Lord Mayor for 8 years (successfully I believe).

Having said that - neither of them are Global Pandemic Experts or Virologists. To a certain degree they are just the figure heads of their 'parliaments / assemblies'.

Drakeford's 2 week fire break - with hindsight was too short , Johnson later lockdown to Tier3 doesnt appear to make much difference some rates are going up - even with the pubs shut.

So it's fairly easy to say none of their policies have worked and that certain sections in Society are responsible for ignoring the advice. Why was there a spike in Swansea Bay area, or in lots of places up the Valleys or in certain parts of Cardiff - Grangetown particularly bad.

At the Heath today - it's not good, not enough staff, 1 ITU nurse per 2 beds - it should be 1 to 1.
Health boards in Wales are still doing routine out patient appointments. If they did then some nurses could be transferred over to the covid wards.

Add on top of this the Welsh Ambulance only has 11 ambulances available for Cardiff & Vale - 9 ambulances plus 2 paramedic first responder type vehicles.

Drakeford or rather Carwyn Jones decided a while ago not to cut welfare and instead split the cut with health (wrong decision I think) . Johnson has made some bad decisions as well.

SO both as bad or as good as each other.

The big difference is that as Prime Minster - you need to look act and sound like a Prime Minister , Drakeford honestly looks like a the mad family relative you see once a year at Christmas that acts very strangely , like an Uncle Bryn of Politics.

If it came to a decision - Johnson would get my vote above Drakeford

Drakeford has made some errors and definitely messed up on the current restrictions but the Welsh government have handled the Pandemic better than those fools in London!
:thumbright:

better than those fools in London...yes mate we are covid free here :?
or lets try half of Europe are under various sorts of restrictions and nobody has got a grip on the virus , least of all anyone in the UK...
but those fools in London are at least trying { not very succesfully but trying never the less } to not completely destroy the economy... where as our lot proper do not give 2 hoots...

It's a shit situation but I trust the Welsh Government to look after Wales far better than those Anti-Welsh Tory scum in Westminster :thumbright:

covid free was obviously being sarcastic about your which turd is the best one up manship...
but regarding the keen disregard for life....i suggest you read the whole thread... im sure then that youll agree there are worse anti welsh scumbags here...

Think you are being played? 23 posts in 18mnths and comes out with this! But there again lots on here suddenly appear after a year or more of hybination! :D

Does having 23 posts mean I can't have an opinion on other peoples stupidity?

Any Welsh person that deems the cost of the Senedd high in comparison to that of Westminster's House of Commons and House of Lords is most definitely a fool.

Stupidity is someone who comes on here pretending to be a genuine poster by using multi names now that is a genuine fool? Guess you've been unavoidably detained to be away for so long without posting?

Pretending? Because I choose as and when to comment? Fair enough :?
I haven't been bothered to comment in all honesty... this forum used to be good and I enjoyed reading but after Brexit it became a huge right-wing stain

At the very least Drakeford is surely SURRONDED by Welsh people with our better interests at heart?

Total boll.. and just highlights the generalisation and populist shit spouted on this platform. Assy might be shite but we would be deeper in shite if these Tory bas..... had their way.

At least Wales at the very least has got a political platform and voice now. It's something ffs!!

Perhaps I'll make a generalization and say perhaps a lot of spouters on here haven't even voted down the years.??
