I am not saying this is a problem for the majority of UK citizens but it exists and if it is allowed to fester it will grow.

Out of sight is not out of mind.

We have no right to bury this or racism will grow back to the totally unacceptable level it was 20 years ago but racism still exists at unacceptable levels in our country.

The only way to eradicate racism is to adopt a zero tolerance policy.
We need to keep the fight against racism in the public eye by whatever means possible.
I am not interested in individuals or groups, only in eradicating racism from society by whatever means possible.

Over to you Canton 104

I’d genuinely like to meet up with you before a game so you could call my mate a ‘person of colour (he has hated that term since we were kids)‘ and then tellhim how you and the BLM movement has helped with the anti racist cause in the UK instead of putting it back ten years.

I’d be the one laughing as he was choking you.

Skidmin,

I have already stated above that I do not support BLM

You only have to look at what has happened in the last 5 years in British politics, with the rise of the far right who are hostile to people of colour. Just go on Youtube and listen to the comments made by people on the far right. Their numbers are growing.

but BLM which is what the kneeling is in support of are not what it says on the tin... and have managed to gather support through false pretences... its resulted in a notion that being anti BLM also means racist ,even likening anyone that agrees with booing to oswald moselys black shirts ffs... thats pretty damn divisive .

Probably our best win of the season so far and by far the biggest thread is about millwall booing the knee FFS! Unbelievable!!

Never did I expect my fellow CCFC fans so say such stupid things, your all so fickle.

Gone are the days where the posts were football related.

It’s all about covid, Brexit and BLM.

Idiotic original post! The entire world is still full of racial injustice, why shouldn't in 2020 we start using any platform possible to set it straight. Nobody is saying Black or ethnic is better. Just we should look past this and treat all humans equally

Re: Well done Millwall

Sat Dec 05, 2020 7:53 pm

I don't think any one person has a problem with anybody taking a stance against racism. The problem is this bending of the knee is in support of the organisation BLM. As people have already mentioned, BLM are an openly marxist organisation - this is what people are booing.

I am not sure everybody is aware of this though, and they will of course assume this was racist. It is the media's job to report fairly and educate people on the connections BLM have to communism, but they don't. Instead they will choose another spin. They will politicise this, use it as another example of how racist society is and to further divide us. This is why they can no longer be trusted.

Re: Well done Millwall

Sat Dec 05, 2020 8:17 pm

The players by taking the knee are supporting BLM in my view and deserved to be booed as they do not stand for fairness
they stand against white people and want the police removed and law and order removed and the riots removing statues it was Millwall supporters and others who stood against the rioters with the statues not being removed so I was not shocked by this

Re: Well done Millwall

Sat Dec 05, 2020 8:18 pm

As a millwall fan I'd rather they hadn't booed but they have every right not to and I'm sure that will probably re inforce a lot of peoples stereotypical view if millwall fans which is easy to do but not fair , ,I may be wrong but millwall have gone the extra mile for many years to discourage all forms of discrimination and have a community centre that does great work in the local community , millwall may also hold a record in having had more black players receive the player of the year award than possibly any club something totally in the hands of supporters ,
Nice to see you win at Watford today not least because I backed you to win but I want to see Neil Harris do well as well as having a soft spot for Cardiff ( not sure sure how that come about ) good luck for the rest of the season

Re: Well done Millwall

Sat Dec 05, 2020 8:23 pm

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the BLM movement wasn't connected with the players taking the knee anymore? I know that in the Prem it's been replaced by their 'No room for racism' campaign so there's no political aspect; is this not the same for the football league?

I can totally understand fans not wanting to support any political message, but from my understanding the players taking the knee is purely an act of solidarity against racism and nothing else, and to see this being booed is disgusting to me. I'll be deeply embarrassed if our fans follow suit when we're allowed back in the CCS.

Re: Well done Millwall

Ok Canton 104

Serious question:

What term do you suggest I use in describing a person who is not white without offending them?

Or is that to much to ask?

Please respond like an adult, I would be mortified if I thought I had offended a person because of the colour of their skin.

If you are genuinely interested in tackling racism then you should take the time to understand the tools being used to do so.

You can get a screw into a wall plug using a hammer and sheer brute force, it'll eventually do the job but will take a lot more time and create a lot unnecessary damage.

Equally, you could use a screwdriver which will acheive the job without the damage, with less pain and the end result will be a lot stronger.

If I wanted to acheive something as big as eradicating racism, I'd sure as hell take the time to look into the different groups and their different approaches.

Especially if one kept causing division and the other had universal support.

I'd also be pissed at an organisation, that is taking advantage of my own and many others absolute abhorence of racism to shoehorn in a politcal ideology, and the fact that they are nothing but a thinly veiled trojan horse taking advantage of good people's ignorance.

If anyone, (not necessarily aimed at you alone Spike) but anyone that wants to throw their support behind BLM without taking the time to understand what they really are, if you actually care about racial equality I put this to you.

Surely a group cynically trading on the topic, that have no designs to improve things and are just manipulating good, well meaning people like yourself, in such an absurdly obvious manner, must piss you off.

I mean, when the penny drops and you realise just how insidious everything they've done is and just how much they've damaged the very thing you claim to be fighting for,if you really care about the cause, and I have no reason to doubt you do, then surely that's going to really and truly piss you off.

If any of this means anything to you other than ticking boxes in the virtue signalling column for the day, if you actually give a damn about MLK's dream of people being judged not by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character, a dream I believe we had practically acheived in the UK at the end of the century and are now f*cking up. If you actually live by these words not just pay them lip service, then what BLM have done, and everything that they are is just so exceptionally offensive it beggars belief.

That's why they should be booed.

Thats why you should give a damn as to who they are.

Cheers for the good wishes Steve. I know a few cardiff have a similar soft spot with 'Wall and knowing a few decent 'Wall fans myself there is something quite similar between our two fanbases. Straight talking but fair, working class roots, and nobody else likes us. Good luck with the season mate

Not at all Spike, picked that up loud and clear.

You said you don't support any organisation just care about eradicating racism. Yep got that.

In fact, I think the whole point of my post was, that's a dumb f*cking approach and makes your whole position on this f*cking irrelevant as its like asking a f*cking 4 year old how they are going to acheive world peace.

Respect Sir

There are a couple of people on here who so wrapped up in their own agenda, that they will not and cannot see what is going on around them.
Even when you try to explain to them, that you do not support BLM, George Floyd or American movements they still persist with mentioning these topics.
