How should we proceed poll ? Lockdowns etc

We've all got different perspectives, it all comes down to personal responsibility in the end, the people taking more care are less likely to get it, and potentially kill their elderly parents/grandparents, people will do what they do, we can't change it.

do i want to die of Covid NO... i dont want to die in a RTA either or die at all... im 100% against restrictions but have not broken any rules.... but if i was one tenth as terrified as some on here id be getting my groceries delivered, wouldnt be in pubs, restaurants, cafes , have a barbeque, house party or go anywhere your likely to bump into randoms , would not be in a taxi, a bus, train and especially not on a plane .. and if i worked id stop...reading on here most phobes have done many of the above.. they havent broken rules because all at various points have been allowed...but they do get massively critical of anyone that done the above a day before they did or a day after they did and it is is hypocritical...
do the full on hide under the stairs in a hazmat suit by all means... but dont be preaching how dangerous it is while standing by the front door desperate to get out and do all the things that have been restricted when eased off 1 second past midnight .

I don't think people are loving it or terrified?

August was different, I think I did most things except have a house party, the virus was 10 per 100,000 and the government wanted people to eat out to help out, the risk of getting and spreading Covid 19 was very low, and the scientists told everyone to crack on while we still could.

It's different now, if you go to a closed space with poor ventilation the chances of catching and passing it on to your family are greatly increased, so personally I'm happy to give the pub a miss for a while but carry on with all out door activities and working, we will still do our own shopping and leave the deliveries for the people that really need it.

We can never all agree if people want to carry on and get pissed in pubs and have house parties thats up to them, it's everyone's personal responsibility to do what they want.

In some ways the plan to have a national lockdown worked yes the virus is not going anywhere but at least school, pubs and other businesses were shut down. People from High School upwards are the ones who are carrying the virus. People in pubs are not careful enough. I always say that pubs should close this way no one will gather inside an enclosed environment.

7,000 doctors and scientists have recently signed a document asking the government to focus their funds on protecting and isolating vulnerable groups. So that the rest of us can keep the economy alive.

I don’t think it was doctors? Every doctor interviewed has been scared that it going to run riot when the existing restrictions.

I have seen some scientists saying it.

It is a mixture of scientists /doctors ,and even if you haven't seen those who spoke out,by your reckoning it would be what? 7000 scientists? Thats an awful lot either way.

Its not 7000 though, is it? You can go to their website and sign it with whatever name, location, title, medical qualification you want and they'll accept it without question. I know that because I've done it.

So you are proud of that childish act then ? Say if 200 scientists signed it then it’s important then clowns like you come along signing it and making it worthless.
So I gather you don’t want these scientists to be right you just want to prove this petition can be doctored. Now if the government does not listen to these scientists because people like you think it’s funny to ruin it and more people die can you live with that ? No it’s not he said. I would give them batons pepper spray and side arms to enforce the law. Then that is martial law then I laughed.
But on the other hand he said he didn’t feel it’s as bad a virus as they are making out and the deaths are made up.
Lord above two opinions on different scales and what makes this worrying is plenty agree with him wanting martial law.
One day many will sit down and think just when did they remove my ability to think things through rationally ?

Looks like a National lockdown for Wales is on the cards.

Even Krankie is talking about a tiered system of lockdowns but that won't go far enough for Adolf Drakeford. He's only interested in one tier - total lockdown for the whole country.

Only country in the UK talking about a national lockdown and whenever the "possibility" of an area going into local lockdown was mentioned it inevitably followed that within days that region was locked down.

So for those of you who want a return to the lockdown state of earlier this year it looks like you'll get your wish sooner rather than later.

So it's not just high school kids getting covid but what is becoming clear kids do not get symptoms like adults.... people in pubs not careful enough? Still waiting for someone to explain why with thousands of people packing pembrokeshire including pubs we have little to no infections week on week yet in towns with pubs having local customers that is being blamed for covid rise ?

Agree but schools slowly closing down getting to point wher 1 positive test means whole year of children are being told to isolate even when criteria is if been in close contact with person? Must have had group hug for them to be that close..... teachers union wants breakfast clubs closed why?

ive encountered this sort of mixed thinking so many times.. most people can not see the virus, there are not dead on the streets or lots ill and if they know of anyone thats died its more often than not an old ill person close to death anyway... BUT theyve watched TV, listened to the radio and read papers for 7 months all telling them its very dangerous... you know what..if this was very dangerous youd not be needing to read about it.. or have politicians letting you in on the secret by posting misleading graphs as Drakeford did last friday... ..army on the streets is mental..what the fck does the fella you were talking to think is happening out there ?

Its quality and quantity needed. If I got 100,000 doctors to sign but they were all doctors of musical arts or doctors of architecture then rightly, no one would listen.

As for the 200 scientists bit, even if they were all in the relevant field it still wouldn't be enough considering this is a worldwide document. There's probably that many people in Cardiff alone who could but didn't sign it.

If there was a document signed by 1000 (5x bigger than your 200 guess) checked and pertinent uk doctors saying we need to go into stricter lock down would you back it?

That 200 was of the top of my head. My point is no one will know how many scientists and doctors actually signed it because stupid people signing it and ruining it. Why would they do that ?
