Interesting that polls indicate that 63% of the population want even tougher lockdowns but when asked what percentage of the population has died from the virus in the UK they think it is on average 7% of the population. It it was 7% of the population it would be 4.6 million people instead of the actual figure which is about 42,000 whose average age was nearly 83 and who moastly were frail or Ill anyway. Most of them would be dead of so,thing else anyway. To destroy the British economy by locking everyone up even those wholly unaffected by c19 is lunacy of the highest order.

the 7% is of total UK deaths...
if you were the only undertaker in a small town of 10k inhabitants you would expect to be doing roughly 100 funerals this year..covid might increase that to 107.. but only if the 7 covid deaths were people who would not have died during the year anyway which as everyone knows is not the case..
they are now changing the language and phrases used... of covid has become covid involved which could mean almost anything they choose..

Covid in Wales: How many cases and deaths have there been?
Ten more people have died with coronavirus and 946 have tested positive, according to the latest figures from Public Health Wales (PHW).
It is the largest daily increase in reported cases since the pandemic began.
Cardiff had the highest number of new cases, with 214 reported on Wednesday.
Dr Giri Shankar, in charge of PHW's response to the pandemic, said there had been a large increase in cases linked with socialising.
On Wednesday eight new deaths were reported in the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board area, where there have been confirmed outbreaks in hospitals.
Another death was confirmed in the Swansea Bay area, and another in Cardiff.
It brings the total number of deaths to 1,688 since the start of the pandemic.
On Tuesday 9,726 tests were carried out across Wales, with 12.5% of results coming back positive for Covid-19.
The 946 cases reported on Wednesday include results from tests going back up to a month, with most from the past week.
Dr Shankar said recording the "largest number of positive cases on a single day in the entire pandemic" demonstrated the "high growth in numbers of positives".
He said: "This reminds us how important it is that we all stick to the local restrictions, and to follow the social distancing measures to prevent the spread of the disease.
"We have seen an increase in transmission of the coronavirus in social clubs, and would like to remind the public that the virus spreads really well in social situations."
