. Roger, totally agree and every year the Spanish football fans complain about the system.

It should be 4 Champions promoted and a 5th place for a play off winner.

As Champions you should go up automatically.

Makes no sense whatsoever.

I look on the bright side if you are going to do something then it is more satisfying when it is done the hard way Atletico will go up via the long play off route
